I like Ricky Gervais. I think he's misunderstood by some people. He seems like a fine chap and I'd like to have a pint with him.

    Hah!

I'd quite like to glass him.

I think for me the biggest disappointment was seeing his stand up show, it wasn't that he isn't funny per se, but to me RG the stand up may as well have been David Brent, for me there was no distinction between the two.

He easily has the potential to be really really REALLY annoying, to be fair to those that would like to glass him.

I say potential - what I mean is: for those that have to work with him on a long term basis he would be really really REALLY annoying.

I wasn't overly fond of that Gervais HBO show, but his live show and the one or two movies he's made were pretty funny.

That red-headed guy from Sean of the Dead is a little funnier, though...

Pegg? See, I've never found him funny personally. In fact he seems to lack star quality altogether and I can't quite work out how he's become quite so successful.

What red-headed guy from SHAUN of the Dead?

    You've got red on you...

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

Simon Pegg I think, I am with Lukus, I don't find him particuarly funny, Shaun of the Dead has its moments, but it certainly isn't the comedy great some make it out to be.

Speak for yourself! It's one of my favourite films of all time, I think it's absolutely genius from start to finish. Hot Fuzz on the other hand, total utter meh.
  • Deleted user 8 October 2009 20:39:19
    Anyway isn't he categorically blonde?

EDIT: Googled some photos of him, I suppose it could go either way.

Strawberry probably, that's what the gingers like to call it.

Spaced is being repeated on Dave soon, for any fans of Simon Pegg.

I am speaking for myself, it wasn't as great as it is made out to be.

You're still stating it like it's fact. :p

And anyway you're wrong so... yeah.

Sorry for mispelling Shaun! There are too many ways to spell that name.

Anyhow, yeah, Simon Pegg. I like him. I also enjoyed Run Fat Boy Run and Hot Fuzz. I didn't "enjoy them" like I think they're the best movies ever made, but 8/10 "enjoyed them".

    And Gervais' teeth scare me.

So many better comedies than that.

Shaun of the Dead is excellent and from what I've seen of him, Simon Pegg seems like a genuinely nice, likeable and funny bloke. Nick Frost is also great, and seems more of a naturally funny guy than Pegg.

Spaced is fucking brilliant and for that, Simon Pegg will always have my admiration.

Lots of awesome comedies as good as, can't say I've ever seen one better.
  • Deleted user 8 October 2009 20:54:25
    Airplane?

    Naked Gun?

    Life of Brian?

Anyway it is my opinion, I was only teasing when saying it is fact.
  • Deleted user 8 October 2009 20:55:37
I know, bless you. I know.

And they're all awesome comedies, you're right. As good as Shaun of the Dead, in fact. :)

    Because everyone knows a Dave.

The +1 channel is puntastically called Dave Ja Vu.

Dave is probably my favourite non-network TV channel.

    This space left intentionally blank.

I watch Dave far more than any other channel I'd say - just like EG is my 'default' internet page, Dave is my default TV channel.
