Quick question. I've been invited to photograph a band in London on the 9th of november and the bands manager asked me to find myself a hotel.

The concert is held in Camden, and yeah, I know where Camden is but I have no idea in which area to look for hotels since the online booking systems doesn't really say "Camden" :-P

For instance, via the Ryan Air booking system you can specify your search to an area of London, but doesn't help me much.

    In the lock.

Or NW1 basically covers Noho and Camden, if a postcode search is of any use to you.

Plenty of cheap hotels around Euston/Kings Cross, walking distance to Camden

Err... I wouldn't walk from Euston or Kings Cross with loads of camera gear. At least a 40 minute walk if he's at the Chalk Farm end of Camden.

If it's an option, I'd get Airbnb either in Camden, Kentish Town or Chalk Farm. Probably some sick houses there you can find :p

Otherwise, TripAdvisor is probably your best bet. I can't think of any well known chain cinemas in the area.

It depends how much they'll pay but there's a Holiday Inn next to Camden Lock at around 110-200 (depending on when you book) a night and York & Albany Hotel next to Regent's Park for about the same price. They're the two biggest reasonably priced (for London if you get it on the right night) ones. Airbnb has a lot of apartments around the area from about 140-150 a night. You might get one of those right next to the venue assuming it's somewhere like the Roundhouse or Dublin Castle.

www.hostelworld.com is another great site for those looking for a place to stay.

    Then there's always Airbnb.

I've used both www.hotels.com and www.hostelworld.com multiple times and never been disappointed. Their maps views are really helpful for the issue the O.P. (as in Planet) described.

I will therefore mention them once again
    www.Hotels.com
    www.hostelworld.com
    and okay then
    www.airbnb.com

All of the above. Try Premier Inn & Travel Lodge too. Prices may be lower depending on where you go.

    Good luck.

    @kingtravel

I would probably look at the Premier Inn at King's Cross.

I stopped there for the first month I moved to London. (Although that was 14 years ago).
