    Super Aleste is impressive to look at but little more than a tech demo as it's a piece of piss to finish. My mate bought it and had the first go getting quite far, then I had the second go and completed it. Back to the shop!

    @Takeaway did you by any chance accidentally turn it off in your suit options?

    @the_milkybar_kid cheers mate :D

    @Duffking I don't believe so, no. Didn't realise that was an option, although it's possible.

    Thanks again for the comments, chaps.

    Slowdown is minimised on the mini Snes - as it runs at 60hz, unlike the PAL Snes.

    Well worth picking one up !

    I loved Super R-Type too - except those level restarts right back to the beginning !
    Dont recall it on my snes as a kid but try underwater donut secret 1 in SMW with all the rip van fish and it slows to a crawl.

    If you add games through hacking do the save states and rewind also work on them?

    Yeah. I haven't tried rewind on games that need retroarch to work but save states also work on the retroarch emulator too.

    I suck ass at old school platformers now. I must of lost 4 lives on 1-1 of DKC2.

    DKC2 is quite a bit harder than the first to be fair.

    @the_milkybar_kid

    Well I won't blame just the game as my reflexes have waned over the years. I did do the boss first attempt tho :)
    I'll have a do at world 2 tonight.

    What's wrong with the prices for this? Amazon tells me it's £122, is this what the price is supposed to be like? I got the impression from this thread it was supposed to be around 70 or so.

    Amazon will be 3rd party sellers / scalpers. You'll struggle to find it for retail unfortunately.

    Here in the Czech Republic, all (and I mean all) retailers added 40% to the price. I still paid. I don't regret it as such (after all, it's a great bit of kit and I wouldn't have complained if that was the real RRP), but I am annoyed, and a bit puzzled as to how such behaviour can be legal.

    I can play Dark Souls drunk fairly effectively, tried to play Super Mario World pissed the other day and literally couldn't get past the first enemy.

    Most of the retailers here in the UK added £10 to the pricetag after the initial round of pre-orders. It's annoying, but retailers can sell it for whatever price they want.

    I'm up to 163 games on mine, room for more but fed up looking through lists of games.

    I did consider retroarch but got a Mega Drive and crt behind me, think I'll leave it to just Snes games on this and I'm not missing the ones that done work yet.

    Course it's legal, as are all the scalpers that everyone takes the moral high ground over. It's just demand outstripping supply. Blame Nintendo for not making enough, a conscious decision on there part to increase the desirability of the thing imo.

    I've played about 3 hours of Secret of Mana and I'm surprised how tough it is. I frequently get stun locked to death by multiple enemies. I've been making use of the rather excellent rewind feature which has reduced frustration somewhat. It's amazing how little is explained in the game too.
