    I have no idea what I need or don't need. I haven't even worked out how you make traps yet.

    Just to emphasis this - if you have items marked with yellow (trade-in item), sell it - that's what its for. If you go to Sell items, go to the right hand tab, auto sort, then all the trade it items are at the end.

    Spider web+ivy ->net.
    Net +trap tool (bought from the trader) = Pitfall trap.

    So I *have* to buy an element of the traps from the trader?

    @Bambot You can buy trap tools or do capture quests and take the free tools they give you in the chest.

    Here's one that's bugging the shit out of me: the order of things in the inventory when you're trying to use them in the middle of a battle. The number of times I've scrolled and scrolled trying to get to the sodding mega potions. They seem to be about as far as possible from the regular potions. Whyyyyyyyy?!

    Ah, not been offered a capture quest yet. Is there an 'Introduction to Capturing Monsters' quest that explains how it works? So far the only reason I know how it'll work once I've got the tools is I googled it.

    I've got a 'Capture a monster' thing in the Bounties, but that's not a quest per se, is it? THat's more of a passive thing that'll trigger if I happen to capture a monster in the course of taking quests or expeditioning or something, right?

    @Bambot there is a radial menu as well which gives you quick access to items.

    if you hold down R1? and then use your right stick you can access items much quicker. Having said that i have become really good at scrolling to find items.

    You can reorder those from your items menu. What I tend to do is auto sort the main inventory, then go into the but to reorganize the order and set it to auto order from my inventory. Puts all my healing stuff together, my boosts together, traps etc together.

    @Bambot

    In a quest, bring up the options menu, item pouch, then Y(xbox) or triangle(ps4).

    This allows you to customise the horizontal scroll bar, AND set the 'empty space' where new additions will fit in. 70hrs before voden and myself worked that out.

    @oldschoolsoviet Ooh interesting, I'll take a look. Although the radial menu may solve the problem. But this is very good to know. And it's not affected by Sorting with R3?

    Ironically if you spend less time posting that you don't understand certain things, and invested that time into actually looking into it in the game, it'll tell you.

    Sometimes its quicker to ask...

    I'm after the ones that allow me to get the gadgets.

    Ancient forest first - is that the one?

    Yes, there's a gadget from each area.
    Although I'm quite attached to the vigorwasp - it's really handy!!

    Jesus Christ, this is my tip of the day. Every damn time I need a potion I'm fumbling with that damn scroll bar.

    3 missions away from High Rank. 2 weeks until the Aloy quest. It's all coming together.
