If someone like Miliband were the Labour leader then I could actually see a Lib Dem/Labour deal going down. I still think that the Tories would win though.

    @Decks

Can we crowdfund a bus with OPs comments?

Pretty much sums up how I feel...

Working with the public in Newcastle this morning.

All of them thought May was either the best or that Labour were too useless to bother voting for.

All to play for then . . .

I'm going to be watching pm questions intently from now till June 8th and seeing which side makes the better "RABBLE,RABBLE" jeer. whoever jeers hardest gets my vote.

We're way, way past omnishambles. We're fast approaching Neo Ultimate Omnishambles Doubleplus DX Deluxe and Knuckles (featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series).

As a labour voter predominantly I have no idea what to do. I agree with Labour's economic ideals - and would go even further myself to profit and rent caps in some sectors - but their other ideals aren't best for the country; plus, I can't, just can't vote for Corbyn. Then I look at the Lib Dems and they're even worse!

Do we still have the local elections to look forward to in May?

Could be a good opportunity to vote for the party you want, see how they fair then jump ship to the winning party so we can all be united in our efforts to give Europe a bloody nose, then realise we've been staring in the mirror and smashing our own faces in.

My wife hates Theresa May with an absoulute passion.

She can't refer to the Tory leader as anything other than 'that fucking bitch'.

The next couple of months are going to be horrible. "It's the hope that kills you" and all that...

But fuck the Judean People's Front ey. Purity tests and no agency on the part of Labour's purists. Life is unfairb fuck quislings.

Thank fuck this election is so soon...

I have no idea what the second paragraph of your post is about, but I hope I've addressed the first.
Agree with all of that -apart from some parts of 10 which are not good for our national prosperity or security, but on all the other domestic policies 1-9 I'm completely in agreement - which is when you see how damaging Corbyn is - I just can't vote for him because of his personal history and views.

Seems to me that the resounding majority of posters here favour none of the existing parties.

If only that force could be galvanized into some sort of, oh I don't know, opposition? That would be nice. Shame we live in the real world and not fantasy everyone-gets-their-just-deserts-land.

Oh well, I still have videogames for that.

I don't want the Tories in but voting for anyone other than Labour to get them out (who I'm also not keen on) seems like just letting May get away with it.

It just seems like they are calling it now while both Labour and Lib Dem are scrabbling around to nail on another 5 years while both sensible opposition are trying to form up. It's also another way of using said victory to double down on the idea that Brexit is desired by the majority. A tory win will compound said notion even if it doesn't mean that at all.

If Corbyn was anti Brexit then I would have gone Labour but I can't in good faith vote for someone that pick and choose which fight to lose.

Obviously can't vote Tory. Don't want to vote Labour either. Lib Dem I guess. But that feels pointless.

Apparently peter whittle said farage "might well stand", which would make the Tories seem like not the worst at least.

Well, our tory loving country can vote them in again, because the economy is safe in their hands, as they drive it into a brick wall. And back a lunatic threatening world peace unreservedly.

Tbh I'd like to see Charles Dance in the running, bit only if he dresses and acts like Tywin Lannister or, alternatively, Havelock Vetinari.

Might at least give the impression of competence then.

What God awful policies will the Tories put into their "manifesto" given this election is all about  Brexit and no one will read or care about it?

I'm not a Tory or Labour supporter. Having said that I'll be voting Labour. The Tory campaign of severe deep cuts is absolutely ruinous to this country and is based on pure lies. It's nothing short of an assult on the poor. I don't want this country ending up a minor American style corporate ultra right wing state where money is everything. To me this is a turning point. It's a fight for the nation's soul. I don't agree with everything Corbyn says but i do think he offers a radical change of direction which is what we need.
