    @RunningMan

Would you recommend Ironclad Tactics? I'm thinking of getting it when it comes to the Switch.

@rice_sandwich Ironclad tactics is not a good game and is not coming to the switch. But Ironcast is, which is a much better game by all accounts. I think TotalBiscuit reviewed it and really liked it. That review is here on youtube. I plan to get it so can let you know.

I remember it being really hard towards the end of mission battle, but forgotten just how hard. The last Proving Grounds mission took me 29 attempts, and I only got it then due to a very lucky ring out. A fist was pumped. Then went and spent 15 minutes grinding lizards on a bridge to be able to buy the last art cards, and I now have my gold title screen back. Despite it being a cheating bastard, it is still the peak of all fighting games.

Very enjoyable little puzzler, really easy though but on the plus side not frustrating at all. Got 100% of the trophies too.

Back to Superhot on VR, otherwise it's Mafia III, Hellblade and Serial cleaner on PS4 and Full Throttle on Vita.

Game 12: Ghost Recon Wildlands (xb1) 9/10 Beat on 31/07/1

Game 13: Beyond Eyes (xb1) 3/10 beat on 08/08/17. Very disappointed, I wanted to have a connection and just didn't. Most of the time it was incredibly tedious. Judging by the end statement it was a very personal story, that is fine but did nit make an enjoyable experience.

    Next Game: Dishonored 2

    22. Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA) 15/08

Thought i'd take another stab at Zero Mission, having recently completed Super Metroid, just to compare the two. It's a well made game too, but surprisingly some of the secret items are much harder to obtain. There's an energy tank right at the end of the game that requires skill that would make Super Meat Boy fans blush.

Still, I very much enjoyed it and it's been a great warm-up for the Metroid II remake next month.

Completed pretty much all the errands and side quests apart from the trials, and only got about 2/3 of the collectibles. Thoroughly enjoyed it - looked amazing and really satisfying combat. I found the story pretty gripping as well, although I feel I may be in the minority on that front.

A excellent blend of Harvest Moon inspired farming and jrpg hack n slash. The farming side of things is very good, very detailed, although it doesn't have the extreme depth and multi-layered systems of, say, Story of Seasons. Still, there's loads to do in terms of growing crops and raising monsters. I mostly concentrated on crops. Growing your own dungeons is really fun.

The jrpg side of things has lots of button mashing combat and as long as you don't over level the game is reasonably challenging throughout. You can change the difficulty at any time. Some of the bosses are quite hard and needed a few tries to beat. The only annoying thing is that if you get knocked out the town doctor charges enormous fees. I had to pay 25000 gold on one occasion.

There's also tons of crafting with hundreds of types of weapons, armour, farm tools, food etc. Theres a massive range of resources and collectible items. The story is a generic save the world fantasy type affair with many twists and turns.

The in game characters are well realised and have very varied conversation topics and distinct personalities. There are many festivals and town events to participate in. I like that you can play pretty much how you like and that there's no rush to do stuff. You do have to do a certain amount of farming but can concentrate on the combat and progressing the story if you prefer.

It took me 52 hours to complete arc 2 and see the credits.I'm now waiting for the post game bonus story line to randomly trigger. I guess I could spend another 50 hours on the post game content.

While the farming and jrpg elements aren't as good as stand alone games, they're both good enough that, despite a few minor niggles here and there, Rune Factory 4 is a 10/10 for me.

    Three short PSVR games.

Mortal Blitz: Time Crisis clone which is good fun but light on content, and with a story which is completely impossible to follow (it's like trying to deduce the plot of a novel by reading a few random pages). Not a patch on Rush of Blood (or any of the 2D Time Crisis games in my opinion) but worth a look if you like light-gun games. Currently on sale at £11.49 down from £15.99. Apparently more stages are coming.

VR Invaders: Pleasantly surprised by this, really good fun wave shooter with great Move tracking and interesting shield + gun mechanic. Quite light on content but still took me longer to play through than Mortal Blitz (mainly because a number of the 8 stages took me a few attempts to complete).

Polybius: After playing the first few levels I thought I must be missing something, given the hype, but about 10 stages in something just clicked and I was hooked. Incredibly addictive, and very very trippy. For fans of Rez Infinite a must.

Bought a bunch of cheap Move titles a little while ago out of curiosity, prompted by my purchase of a second Move controller in advance of PSVR.

This one is essentially the archery, gladiator and frisbee mechanics from the Sports Champions games (same developer, Zindagi) turned into an on-rails child-friendly adventure. It's OK I guess - quite fun in parts but very repetitive and the levels go on just that little bit too long. Some of the more frantic sections are made unnecessarily frustrating by aiming/tracking issues (although generally the controls are sound).

I still think Move is an impressive piece of technology, let down by a lack of good games. I'm glad the controllers are getting a second lease of life with PSVR.

That's motion controls on all platforms, to be fair. I genuinely feel that many game developers lack an interest or understanding of the technology, which in turn is leading to many underwhelming experiences.

Another Move cheapie I got a while back. This one's a bit of a cheat entry as I had completed about half of it some time ago, and decided to pick it up again this evening to finish off the last couple of stages.

It's basically a tongue-in-cheek light-gun game with a heavy emphasis on keeping your score multiplier going. Quite addictive and worth picking up for a couple of quid if you're a fan of light-gun games. It's short but replayable for those that like chasing scores.

Played through it all on Vive yesterday. Sweet Jesus it's amazing. I've played through Area X on a friend's PSVR a few times, but this was my first time through the original game in VR and it's just as incredible. It is a lot easier using the Vive though as the controller acts as a pointer.
