Anyone else tried Megaton Rainfall? I like it but the controls are a bit iffy.

@ChrisOTR I just got ultra wings I hidden gem at the end of the year. A lot of fun only thing is the gun controls realy strange ( trigger is pick up and move button to shoot!!! Just odd) the moves just about hold up other wise.

Glad you're enjoying it! I was grinning ear to ear when I first got the glider...

Anyone watched the new S04E01 of Black Mirror yet? It's another good one and topical for VR fans...

Was about to post something about how much better the Touch controllers are for Rift and yadda yadda. Deleted it mid-stream.

End of the day, I really enjoyed my time in PSVR. Shame the tracking wasn't world class but for the money the overall experience certainly was. Really hope Sony put the effort in this year as it is a fantastic platform and I shudder to think how good it could be next gen.

Really enjoyed rush of blood, normally I can't do horror games, but because it's on rails I find it just about bearable. Absolutely shat myself a couple of times though!

Having an amazing time with Superhot VR, when you get into the swing of it, it is awesome.

Sold mine yesterday. Had to choose between it and my Oculus.

Kitchen was my first VR experience and one of my absolute favourites, alongside Rush of Blood.

I have problems with the passthrough signal failing sometimes - it gets fixed by taking the hdmi cable out of the PlayStation and plugging it back in again. Is this a common issue, or have I got a faulty unit somewhere?

Typical of HDMI really. You could get new cables, it'll probably come back in a while anyway.

Mine occasionally cuts out as well but it comes back again straight away. I don't use the passthrough for normal PS4 play now, I use the cable swap method.

Is this the problem of the screen going black for a few seconds then coming back to normal? I get that problem.

I also have a problem of the signal not coming through at all, normally turning on the psvr restarts the picture and it works again. Often this problem only occurs once I open Netflix.

I've got all brand new HDMI's

It's relatively common. Mine does it too. There are a few recommended fixes that work for some people like disabling HDCP, setting it to 1080p instead of auto, and replacing the HMDI cables. None of these worked for me, but you might have more luck?

I really need to get mine sorted. I'm just too lazy and as you say, re-plugging it sorts it for that session.

Not coming straight back -it goes off until I fiddle with the cable or turn the PSVR on (if it wasn't on already). Once it through up a screen fll of static, like your see on an analogue TV that hadn't been turned in. Very retro.

Does yours do it if you're just playing normal PS4 then? Mine only does it when the PSVR is on.

For the record it seems to be (mostly? Totally?) a Pro issue... I haven't had this on my OG before and I have noticed most reports of it are from Pro owners.

These Occasional Blackouts Are To Do With The Original Breakout Box Having a Slight Fault.
This Is Completely Fixed Now On The V2 Breakout Box and V2 Headset.
Iam Running a PS4 Pro, And Also Had The Occasional Black Drop-out, Sold My Original V1 Headset Around October (Wasn't getting a great deal of use).

Started To Really Fancy PSVR Again While off over Christmas so Purchased a V2 Starter Pack From Game online For £299 inc VR Worlds, Camera and Skyrim. (Sold on for £32,Starter Bundle £268, Very Pleased)
But Yeah No More Blackouts, Breakout Box is Better Designed, Much Better Cable Management, only 1 Now Lightweight Cable From the Headset.
Also the Sweetspot seems larger to achieve a Clear image easier.
Loving Farpoint, Doom VFR, Thumper, Polybius at the moment.
Going to grab Arizona Sunshine and Possibly Rez Infinite next.
Need to also complete Resident evil 7 this time round.
Overall PSVR is a great bit of kit. Especially at the Lower Price point.

I only get the no picture on passthrough issue with my Xbox One X, the PS4 seems to work fine every time.

Picked up Skyrim VR yesterday, hope it's worth it. I can't bloody stand the spiders in the normal game though, so I'm really not looking forward to that. Same reason I don't have Farpoint, I think using spiders for scares is just cheap.

I had the no picture problem on my Pro before I even bought PSVR, so I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with the breakout box.

@samharper There are spiders right at the end of the first area, so you can find out very quickly if you're going to be able to cope or not. I was surprisingly fine with them.

I'll keep banging the drum as long as these topics come up: it's an HDMI problem, plugs are badly designed.

I never had the problem with OG PS4 or any other HDMI device though 🤔

Don't worry, just because it's true for some doesn't mean it's true for all. Mine is a breakout box issue, but I don't want to send it back for repair/replacement until I've played all my sale purchases. Yours sounds like a console issue though. Probably best get in contact with Sony sooner rather than later.

Finished Statik this morning which was great but then I started Superhot VR and it is awesome.

Urgh...The Jan sale has eaten up some more psn credit. Statik, Superhot, and Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes all bought. The latter hasn't been mentioned an awful lot but was a well regarded and reviewed launch title from what I've read.

All added to the backlog of shame...

Superhot VR and Statik are both fairly short.

Although Superhot VR requires quite a bit of skill and Statik quite a lot of observation / problem solving.

Both are probably completable in an hour if you are a super skilled genius. (Or about 4 hours each if you are like me).

Can someone tell me if Skyrim VR also includes Skyrim special edition? So that if I don't like the VR mode I can play the normal game?
