That women started attacking me with a knife and I got to go into the attic. Saw a save position and saved and NOPED the disc right out my PlayStation.

Jeebus itís probably the scariest experience I have ever had.

It does get easier to handle, but you've got a lot more scarier shit than that yet

Right. I think Iím going to hold off buying any VR game till I beat this. Iím only doing 30 mins sitting a night. Itís just too much for me to handle.

Made my wife experience the kitchen demo. She was scared as hell from that and now hates me

Played skyrim vr last night for an hour. Wonderful stuff. Walked up to a horse and the scaling was just right. I felt tiny beside it. Also, giant spiders are hectic.

I feel her pain, man - perhaps my imagination is my biggest enemy but I just find most VR stuff absolutely terrifying. Haven't been able to play more than two minutes of Kitchen and Rush of Blood - can't get to the shark section of VR Worlds - even felt my heart beating out of my chest in the chair section of London Heist. I'm trying to convince myself that it's only a game when playing this stuff but my brain seems to want to believe that it's all real!

Reading these posts makes me wonder whether I should hold back from introducing my 4-year-old son to REZVR just yet...

... might be a bit of a leap from episodes of Paw Patrol (which I find terrifying for entirely different reasons)

What you might find, is that 30 minutes is fine to start with, but as you start getting used to it and a bit more confident, those 30 minutes sessions will start to turn into 45...then 60....etc

Though, er, something coming up soon might change all that :)

Love the fact you can peep over corners in resident. Brilliant game so far. But will likely take me about 4 months to complete.

Donít know how some of you guys do it

    @Godofporn

It does get easier. I remember standing outside the house at the start when I first put it on, and thinking, "Are you having a fucking laugh? Am I fuck going in there"

Then you go in slowly etc and gradually and slowly get used to it.

I was playing it a month or so ago, and I'd had a few drinks, and it was all, "Right, ok, left here then through that door, oi, dickhead, fuck off out the way, smack", etc

Had a go on Bound in VR last night. Quite a trippy experience and the simpler quality graphics really translate well.

Haven't got Rez yet, but I imagine the experience is similar.

Resident evil in VR is outstanding and one of my most amazing gaming experiences of the last 30 years. You really feel like you have been there and there are some truly frightening moments. I went back and played a bit in 2d and it was pretty shit. Took me some time to get through it though.

I really wish I could deal with horror better, I'd love to get Resident Evil, but I know I'll hardly play it.

Does anyone in the Southampton/Winchester area fancy hiring out their PSVR for a weekend?! I can't bloody decide if I want one (or I want one but haven't managed to mentally justify buying one yet) so trying one out for a few hours would be a big help in deciding either way... I dunno, £20 for an evening, I'll collect & drop it back?

Not sure if this is incredibly cheeky or not, but I can't find anywhere to hire one commercially so worth a shot!

I don't think it's cheeky to ask... but I must admit I would be too worried about a lens getting scratched or something. Academic in my case as I'm too far from you.

You'd finish the weekend wanting one so will buy one. But then 12 months later you'll hardly ever use it unless you have loads of gaming time / don't live with a partner etc or unless you are demoing it to others.

@Chug666 You could just buy one and make sure you keep all the packaging mint etc... In the event that you don't want to keep it, I don't think you'd struggle to sell it straight on as "nearly new" for only a small loss...

I have had Resident Evil for months and still can't get past the first hour. I'm not usually too bad with scary games but I just can't do it.

I keep thinking I'll just play it in 2D but that seems a shame. One day, I will keep playing it.

Doom is... not great. Played on Vive before work this morning - it's like they gave the work experience kid all the Doom 2016 assets and then let them cobble together a VR game. Genuinely feels like an alpha at times with twitchy teleporting, glitchy controls, funky tracking, etc. etc. Not the most expensive game, which is something, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I never thought I'd say it but... I'd rather they just made a really good Doomguy wave shooter than this. :-(

@Chug666 I wrote a feature for the metro the other day that may help.

tldr - you should definitely get one.

@Phattso Disappointing, was half-tempted to pick that up. I did see a video where the guy tried the three possible PSVR control schemes (Aim controller, Move wands, Dualshock) and he ended up not really liking any of them.

Yeah, reviews have been middling though I havenít played it myself. The good news is that most of the issues could be fixed through patching, so hopefully theyíll make improvements.
