It is a bit better on PS4. Unless we're talking about the Gravity Slide ability, which went from barely useable to pretty reliable.

I struggled with the slide the most. Otherwise it was just mostly me not being quick enough aiming but the DS sticks are easier to control than the Vita ones.

Like you I couldn't get on with the Vita controls. In fact I'm like that generally with all first and third person action games on the Vita, the ergonomics just don't work with me.

Playing it on the PS4 was revelatory. It controlled like a dream.

Whereas I found it controlled much the same, except for the slide.

The larger sticks of the DS4 do make things a bit easier, but that's about it for me.

Thought it was fine on the Vita, on PS4 I found it to be absolute perfection. One of my games of the year and it's a ported Vita game!

Thanks, yeah I have similar experiences with other third and first person games on Vita (I'm fine with twin stick/2D stuff). I have a feeling I'd get on much better on PS4, and I like the game enough to justify buying it.

Honestly Dombat, if you enjoyed it on the Vita even just a little bit, you should definitely grab it on PS4. It's an excellent remaster.

I love that they even kept that painterly LoD effect in there, despite the fact it was most likely there to disguise hardware shortcomings on the handheld. It was such a lovely effect, and I was worried they'd do away with it.

    Good stuff.

No idea, I know absolutely nothing about the demo! Going in as blind as can be. Think I'll play it in bed tonight.

I'll have to wait until after xmas, so hope they give us a wee bit of time to try it.

It's just a tutorial and one straightforward mission, nothing new beyond the first game. Still fun just falling around but hard to tell if they've added anything to make it less repetitive than last time.

Yeah very similar to the first from that demo. What I want though so no complaints! Looks great too :)

It sure is purdy. The Caribbean porn film music is fucking atrocious though.

    She isn't really 14, it's not a Nintendo game.

Wow, that was one short demo. Short but sweet.

Lovely demo. As above, short but sweet, but everything feels like it should and it looks beautiful.

I really like the other... modes? I've forgotten what they're called, but bounding around like you're on the surface of the moon in lunar mode and then launching yourself skyward was great. That mode's wormhole kick thing (I'm great with proper terms, me) definitely helps against the flying bastards, and the Jupiter slam thingy was awesome - especially when you team up with Raven for even greater effect.

No complaints here. Well, other than wondering if they changed Kat's voice.

How does the mode switching work?

You flick up on the touchpad to switch to Lunar, but clicking it to switch back as the tutorial teaches you seems to work about 1 tenth of the time. It's so unresponsive that I feel I'm missing something.

Nvm, I worked it out. It's side swipe :)

The tutorial popup definitely said "tap", I saw it again for the Jupiter lesson. So, uh, ignore the game folks, its wrong :)

Tap - not click - worked every time for me.

I'm sure clicking it did something else. I can't remember what, now...

That was great, can't wait for the full game. I liked having the crystal collecting coming out of the controller speaker in the remastered version though, hope there's an option for that.

I thought I would warm up for this by finally playing through the remastered version of the game. Kara gravity powers fit like a glove and I had great fun in doing the first four challanges :). It really is a charming game isn't it
