The PS4 version was incredible, Vita one is one of the very best games available for the format and they somehow made it even better.

This is going to be amazing.

Yeah, it's a joy to play. It's just that my PS4 isn't usually set up.

Too hooked on ReCore atm :p I'll get GR:R done before 2 comes out though - I'm not too far from the end, two/three hours ought to do it. Though I do want to plat it this time, seeing as Gravity Slide is actually useable now :p

there is quite a few demos of japanese games, so GR2 might get the demo on the UK PSN. From the video the flight looks so much better than the 1st game. Playing the 1st one now, was really enjoying it until chapter 10 then its becoming a massive chore and the machines are irritating (I started it back in feb and was around chapter 8 or 9). Hoping the new game has better missions

Delayed to 20th Jan, which is fine by me. I wasn't getting around to it this year regardless.

Yeah actually rather pleased with that - would have struggled to fit it in!

Such a shame it's delayed, but go see why Sony didn't release this and The Last Guardian the same week. Personally wish it was earlier than later, but never mind.

If it was earlier it would just be destroyed by all the big titles in the Xmas rush. It's smart to pull out of that.

I think the overlap between something like this & Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and Yakuza Zero in January is bigger than say with Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty in October. This is done because of Sony's The Last Guardian and releases in Japan, not shooters, but if they couldn't get it out this month and it's January, so be it.

It's overlap of money and time. There are more titles that are guaranteed both between now and Xmas, and if people are spending time and money on those there's less to go around for this.

This has more room in Jan for the majority of people. Fans were already going to get it regardless but they are a tiny market, and i doubt having Kingdom Hearts and Yakuza will hinder those sales at all. For the mass market/impulse purchaser, which is the group they need to get involved for big success, it has far more of a chance, and it looks more interesting/mainstream than both of those titles.

Well, they put it into somewhere arguably worse. For the market GR2 is aiming for, end of Jan/Feb is far more packed than Nov/Dec. Like, Jan/Feb was already looking far too busy already for fans of Japanese games.

CoD/BF? How about RE7, Nioh, Nier, the aforementioned KH and Yakuza, Persona 5, Horizon...

I didn't mention the shooters specifically. There's a lot of otehr stuff out besides those two titles.

If you're interested in the niche titles, you'll be picking them up regardless. If you want any wider groups to pick them up, you're better off putting them outside of the typical AAA title window that is pre-xmas. Not that |I expect it to sell that well anyway.

The wider groups won't be picking up Gravity Rush even if it was the only game releasing at Xmas :(

And I think you overestimate how much the majority of the audience has to spend. For example, I'm interested in all of those plus a PSVR, so I will absolutely have to drop a few. I highly doubt I'm alone.

I guess we don't know why Sony moved it (presumably TLG?), but the point being that if they were to delay it it would've made more sense to avoid the clutter entirely and shift it to end of March. I totally get why it's delayed, but I just feel it's kind of pointless to move it from a release rush to a worse release rush.

I saw a delay being rumoured the other day, so I'm not massively surprised. I am fine with it though - I have way too much stuff up through the end of the year, and while I would have bumped something for GR2, I can be patient.

@Ror That image of Kat just stuffing her face is a piece of art.

(Also, Kat and Raven team-up hype!)

Sweet. Gonna be trying that. It'll be interesting to see how it works and feels to play on the 'big' console.

I loved the way you could play it on the vita.

GR Remastered played far better on a big screen with a proper controller, so I'd imagine this would be even more so given it's been developed from the ground up with that in mind.

Awesome. I loved the first game on the vita, but haven't got around to playing the PS4 remaster.
The demo should be a great teaser.

Shame in a way that it's the E3 demo, as opposed to content we've not seen.

Honestly I'd rather that than new stuff.

I want to feel how the game plays not discover new areas. It's better to hold back and save the new stuff for when you're experiencing the actual game.

I only just played the first game on Vita for the first time the other day.

Absolutely loved most aspects of the game - the gameplay mechanics, artstyle, presentation, world etc.

Only thing is I struggled with the controls at times, mostly on boss fights, and I think it's the Vita itself. How much better is it to control on PS4? I'd have to get the remastered version as I want to complete it before I consider getting the sequel.
