Brilliant stuff. I said he wouldn't last a year and that's still possible. Might just get sectioned this month.

I had high hopes for that too until the collective GOP put its nose up his ringpiece not 2 weeks after, praising him like a third world dictator. They're also still backing the smearjob they're doing on Mueller.

I'm no longer placing bets on common sense.

Trump Tower meeting with Russians 'treasonous', Bannon says in explosive book via The Guardian

White House on behalf of Trump: "Who's Steve Bannon? We don't know him, nothing to do with us. He's a loser! LOSER!"

This is brilliant, the right finally going into a full civil war. I wonder who's side the idiots and trolls on 4chan and reddit etc will take.

NEW: Here's the Bannon quote regarding the July 2016 Trump Tower meeting: "The chance that Don Jr. did not walk these Jumos up to his father’s office of the 26th floor is zero,” per "Fire & Fury." (pg. 255)

/r/The_Donald must be going into meltdown. They've always been more Team Breitbart than Team Trump.

This is why the far right will never get any long term traction because eventually they all turn on one another and expose themselves as the self serving, narcissistic, snowflake cowards they really are.

Not directly from Trump, that's for sure. Has Trump ever used "whom"? The rest of it isn't remotely his style anyway.

And besides: "Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party"? Trump himself called the media the opposition party when asked if he agreed with Bannon's comments at the time!

I can't understand how the White House, Trump, or whomever wrote that damage control tweet can say Steve Bannon, and by extension Breitbart, aren't the President's "base".

    Am I taking crazy pills?

Just used a tool to search his tweets. If he has used it, he's not done so on Twitter.

No coincidence Trump is choosing to attack him via an official WH statement. Couldn't be doing it on Twitter where the far right wouldn't know how to respond.

It's hilarious how Republicans are throwing themselves at Trump to defend him despite the fact that he's demonstrated time and time again that he'll blame allies for his mistakes all the time, and throw people under the bus at a moment's notice.

That statement was clearly written by someone that understands the English language. (I.e. Not Trump).

They've had to lock the thread from earlier today where everyone was calling it fake news that Bannon had criticised Trump, and turning on Matt Drudge for being one of the many sources reporting it:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/7nvom3/i_trust_the_media_now_regarding_bannon/

Even now that they've stickied a post about an Associated Press report on Trump's response to the top of the subreddit, they refuse to believe it:

"The whole thing seems very strange to say the least."

"Agreed. Waiting for real proof before I freak out like everyone else."

"Until I hear it from Donald Trump, I am withholding everything."

"Proof? Anybody could have typed that up. It didn't even have letterhead."

"Yeah, all of this seems crazy. Part of me is wondering if this has to do with the Fake News awards or something."

"No one has provided a direct link to either (1) President Trump's twitter saying this or (2) the White House official website (3) or even a video of him actually saying any of this. Any one of these would suffice."

    And so on.

    http://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/7nwvjj/war/

    It's amazing.

"often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party."

That is definitely far too eloquent to be written by Trump

For sure. Ghost written from a series of incoherent rants at best. Complete fake at worst.

Still amazing to see Bannon turn on Trump. That Russia thing must be massive.
