Haven't seen any mention of Dave Gorman yet. It's all a bit scripted but those that I've seen on TV (The Dave Gorman Collection, Important Astrology Experiment and Googlewhack Adventure) are really very funny. He's not a bad comedy author either.

Ross Noble, the lad is a legend, he can riff and flow with anything that's thrown at him.

Russell Howard, I thought he was quite good, granted it's scripted but he tells a good tale and he has the similar style of Noble that he's a bit ADD in his ways.

Dara O'Brien - class act, very funny bloke, angsty and very different to the bloke you see on the TV.

Not really stand up though more of a comedy lecturer.

    Frankie Boyle.

Good choice. Everything that comes out of this man's mouth is gold.

Colin Murphy is ace. Blizzard of Odd used to be brilliant. Kind of went crappy near the end, so it's good they stopped making it.

As for Ed Bryne.. Don't get me started on him. Hate his guts.

Has anyone see Henning Wehn do any stand-up? Everytime he's on Fighting Talk he steals the show.

I really like Dylan Moran, particularly his first DVD. Other than him everyone else has had a mention, favourite live act i saw was Steven Wright, have a very crappy cap of a comedy central gig he did, don't think he has any DVDs out though which is a dreadful shame.

No sign of Steven Lynch yet. He was immense at the Empire a couple of weeks ago.

Note: The above song is pretty tasteless

Saw him in Liverpool couple of weeks ago, his stand up is brilliant, very offensive, but there's a certain cheekiness about him. Shame that the stall seats in Liverpool are fuckin' crap though, my legs were smashed, shite seating :(

Not mentioned yet and he's very much a marmite man, but Russell Brand is teh acez. Personally I think he's brilliant. A lot of people can't get past the image but I think very clever, even when he's being puerile. My favourites are Stewart Lee and Dylan Moran though, which I guess is the opposite end of the spectrum, style wise, to Brand. Anyone else love the Brand?

Look up Marcus Brigstocke on Youtube. The Apollo segment introduced by Jack Dee is one of my favourite things.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

Stewart Lee is definitely the best.

Just reading through this thread a bit and I was just going to post something about Stewart Lee. He really is awesome, his delivery and pauses are what makes his comedy so great, he has a brilliant comedy timing.

I saw him recently doing his 41st best comedian in the world tour and it was awesome, he repeated the same joke over and over again and it was one of the funniest things I've seen in ages. Strangely I can't even remember the joke.

You are a factory of sadness.
