    What's the point of a Dreamcast version? The DC wasn't noted for this type of game. You'd be better off trying to make a Megadrive version.

    Everyone's doing Dreamcast releases of their Kickstarter games these days. It'd be need a big change to redo those graphics to use the megadrive's limited palettes, while the DC really just needs a downscale of the PC version graphics.

    Megadrive I don't think it will be an easy port, mainly because it will need a complete rewrite of the game engine.

    Of course, to rewrite the game engine you first have to write the game engine.

    Certainly looks the part. My immediate reaction was the protagonist moves too slowly, but recalled Shinobi on the Master System.

    I wanted to share this with you guys.
    The New York level is getting Art finished next week, and after we'll start the bridge level!

    This bridge level (level 3) is one I predict to be one of the best in Shadow Gangs, because it will have cars driven by the biker, and motorcycles by the knifeman Brix. And especially the ninjas jumping out of the sea and onto the bridge where Dan will be walking. ( Also jumping out from speed boats).

    This will be for sure an unforgettable action level, and we'll make sure it will be the case :). With music that goes with it, I am thinking of putting this one:


    We're doing levels again out of order.
    At the end of the bridge, there will a brief appearance of Collin with laser attack, and then the boss fight.
    Boss fight with Liberty Statue head very near on the background.

    There is more update info on the website. Level 1 took too long, but hopefully later ones will be faster...

    I also thought about the remarks on Dan ninja walk, and we'll get it fixed, I too was not 100% comfortable with how it looked.

    Posters above, will be on walls along many others.

    Are you mad? That makes no sense in the overall narrative. We have only just fixed Dan's gait and now you want to alter the dynamic between Biker and Brix?

    Mr Shadow - do you post updates for this game on any other forums? What kind of a reaction do you get on there, if so? Genuinely, I am hoping that your dedication/patience pays off - 99.9% of us would have thrown in the towel years ago.

    I think that you should include a few of the guys from this forum that actually have a little artistic talent - Evilashchris, Lukas etc. Check out Decks' 'Eurogamer Legends' thread - honestly, you'd get most us financially backing this thing if you could somehow work with him to include a few of his 'characters' in the game.

    Brix will look cooler on both car and motorcycle.
    But on the motorcycle we can see more of him. (compared to inside a car).

    I saw Decks images, really great.

    For Shadow Gangs, characters phase is finished already. You can see all of them apart the final boss in the website.
    (Freddy boss is something that came out from here).

    I see Decks images more part of an adventure game, with dialogues etc...like the old Lucasarts ones.

    There is still 23 more levels...

    All I can say is a little patience, this will be the real deal for 2d action games.

    I put in at least 3 hours of work everyday (after real life work).
    And the weekends around 8-10 hours each day.

    Characters needed a year to finish, levels I hope a year too.
    In the meantime, I am doing code work.

    So unless unforeseen circumstances, 2019 looks to be the year the game will be out.

    If video game history taught us anything, it's that 7 levels (max) are good enough. Just make sure you include enough difficulty spikes.
