Fucking Bollocks.
The date is October 7th 2005. That is THE date. Promise. From Whedon's website.
That said, the September 30th US date is a bit cursed. I warn you now: if Whedon pulls a Valve/HalfLife 2 style fiasco I'm holding you personally responsible.

and yup, some of the cgi shots were tasty, but knowing zoic i think they'll look a whole lot better without the fast editting so you can take em in better. same with the shots of inara
"This is gonna get interesting."Heh. Looks great, but I'm not sure about the wisdom of pimping it as a cult fan-favourite: "From the mind of Joss Whedon"? Who? "Creator of Buffy and Angel." Oh.
"Define interesting."
"Oh God! Oh God! We're all gonna die?"

everything that i've read about the film indicates no noise in space, so i think (hope) it is just a trailer thing. and i would expect a trailer to have suitable noise to be honest as it's all about grabbing people and silent space in film is an alien concept to non-firefly flans.

Anyone interested in seeing the series but not interested enough to buy the DVD blind... UK Sci-Fi channel (130 on Sky) are reshowing the series from May 4th at 8pm.

Oooh, haven't used sendit before (/hugs play.com). Ordered (you can never have too many copies, given two away to people who needed to be taught what a good space western was like and 3rd copy is being lent out right now).

Can't wait.

My cunning tactic of not watching the trailer seems to be paying off. If I had, I'd be counting down the days. However, it might come to nothing if I catch it in the cinema on a big screen.
Phattso wrote:I'm not that determined to avoid watching it. Next time I'm browsing through apple.com/trailers I'll probably click on the Serenity link if I see it. I'm just not seeking it out.terminalterror wrote:Just stick your fingers in your ears, shut your eyes, and start shouting "LAA LAA LAAA LAAAAA!" at the top of your voice.

Nobody will mind, as it's much less annoying than some chav having a 15 minute conversation on his mobile whilst noisily chomping down popcorn.
