Who thought it would actually be a good idea? Surely only fans would be interested. And fans don't want this.

Well ok, I don't want this.

What's all this ranting and raving without a link to what you're ranting and raving about?

I'm happy enough. I think more games and films should continue this way. It'll be bloody weird without Wash though... unless it's a prequel (can't check the link ATM).

Edit: oh wait, its not an MMO or something is it?!?!?

I think anything we could get off the ground would be appreciated by the fans. But what form it would take is I think under some debate.

    LEGO + Firefly!

    Obligatory thread bump picture:

pics of the ladies in the cast showing off their legs are so cliché, right?

@Tonka Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, so they're not fans of Firefly and are complaining about those people who are? The reason fans of Firefly are still pissed about it is that it's one of the best examples of corporate meddling spoiling something that could have been great; Fox decided that sci-fi fans, generally amongst the more literate and understanding viewers, were too stupid to appreciate the 2 hour pilot that Joss Whedon created to introduce everyone and thought it better to drop everyone watching into the middle of a train heist...

The show never got the chance it needed to see what it could become, from very promising beginnings (if you watched it in the right order, that is).

@YenRug Believe me. I'd be as happy as a puppy in a bone yard if Netflix decided to do something with their Firefly rights. But it's looking less and less likely.

I like the video, but then it starts saying 'Lost' is better and, even as a 'yeah I liked Firefly, but srsly?' kinda guy, pfft.

That's definitely where they lost all credibility.

Firefly holds a special place for me, because it was cancelled before they could even finish season one, I hold it as pretty much a perfect t.v. show.

I'm sure if it continued to the standard would have dropped.

And "Out of Gas" I regard as the shining pinnacle of the most perfect Tv Show.

Out of Gas - my fav episode, but it only worked because you already knew the crew. And the ship...

The whole show season is stored in 720p on my Plex server for, like, ever. It was perfect.

Our Mrs Reynolds, is my favorite. I know Out of gas is the Empire strikes back of firefly but I found it a bit slow.

Christ almighty. Can you link to the lyrics so we don't have to listen to that shite? I presume it was about firefly but I couldn't last long enough to be sure...

@spindizzy it's ok, not everyone can take the awesomeness of Star One. :p

Mother Earth couldn't take no more
    sucked dry by humanity
in the end she lost a fight
she was never going to win

we set out for distant shores
    far across our galaxy
we're taking flight into the night
to the planets on the rim

    a fire in the darkness
far away from the Earth that Was
a quest for freedom in the "Verse
    seeking refuge from the earth

    a fire in the darkness
a bright light on the edge of space
a desperate need to find our place
    in the emptiness of space

Out here on the fringe of space
    the outskirts of society
    we're suffering the aftermath
    of a cataclysmic war

cast out by the human race
    nine outlaw pioneers
making life in the outer worlds
    running from the law

    a fire in the darkness
far away from the Earth that Was
a quest for freedom in the "Verse
    seeking refuge from the earth

    a fire in the darkness
a bright light on the edge of space
a desperate need to find our place
    in the emptiness of space

I see a fire in the darkness
a ray of hope in a black forbidding night
I see a fire in the darkness
a spark of life in a cold and empty sky

    A fire in the darkness
far away from the Earth that Was
a quest for freedom in the "Verse
    seeking refuge from the earth

    A fire in the darkness
a bright light on the edge of space
a desperate need to find our place
    in the emptiness of space

    A fire in the darkness
far away from the Earth that Was
a quest for freedom in the "Verse
    seeking refuge from the earth

    A fire in the darkness
a bright light on the edge of space
a desperate need to find our place
    in the emptiness of space

@Megapocalypse well... I liked it. Ended up listening to the rest of the album in fact. But then I do like my spacecheese.

It's a great album. Was fun when it was released trying to work out what film each track was about. The first album 'Space Metal' is a lot better though. It doesn't take itself quite as seriously.
