Star Trek in a Firefly thread? It's more likely than you think!

If there is a new Trek, they've got to bring back those uniforms for the female crew members.

    'Shiny' is what it is.

Edit: Apologies go to those individuals who mistook this post for news of Firefly returning to our screens. Have some Kaylee as recompense.

Got my bluray copy and started into it last night. I've seen the pilot episode about 6 times now but was still able to see things I hadn't before thanks to the awesome quality of it. So good.

CGI looks a bit naff on Blu-ray minds.

Was it the PAL version (is it out?) or the US one, the one I also have.

There's a bit in the commentary about the CGI that totally ruins two scenes for me now as I can only look at that error/effect...

Wash not actually holding the controls, just holding his hands in mid-air on the pilot I believe

    and

The train's sides at the station in The Train job

The ghost controls bit is hilarious. Also look for the helping hand pulling the little jeep thingy off screen i the scene where they land in Persephone.

@Horizon, it's from the States yeah. CGI looks alright to me.

Has there been any news on Joss Whedon working on any new TV series?

His IMDB doesn't mention any new TV stuff, any rumours going about of an announcement at Comic-Con?

Dammit, I need some new geeky hotties to drool over and Joss Whedon and his crew sure know how to pick'em.

If Avengers does well I don't think he'll be back on telly for a while. Is Cabin in the Woods ever gonna come out? Seems to have been in development forever.

When Whedon goes back to TV if he gets Fox to produce I'm flying to LA to punch him hard in the face.
