Anyway, my interest is more to do with there currently being no handheld system to replace the 3ds and Vita. And I'm still playing things on them (currently xcom on Vita), but I know that this won't last. And I want my strategy portable, damnit!

Wargroove does come with a map and campaign editor. I'm unsure as to whether or not these things can be shared online, but if so, there's potentially endless replay value. There are also plenty of units that aren't typical in either Fire Emblem or Advance Wars.

People take the piss, but i'm out tonight so haven't got my switch with me, got a 2DS XL instead and its so easy to slip in and out of a pocket that I get a load of extra play time waiting for the train, waiting for the waterloo and city line, on the waterloo and city line, on the escalator etc that i don't get with the switch...

I have preferences for various games. I prefer Mario Kart, Splatoon, and Zelda docked. Almost everything else I prefer to play in handheld mode when in single player. I really like dislike The Binding of Isaac in docked mode for some reason.
Same here. I don't so much do the whole carry on a game wherever I am but have different games for different circumstances. Splatoon, Arms, Zelda for docked, Steamworld and Golf Story currently for portable. I expect something that's bigger budget but involves farming like MHunter will make me use it more like a hybrid.

I fly to different corners of Europe a lot for work, so my Switch is with me pretty much wherever I go. Itís not as easy as taking my 3DS, admittedly, but canít play BOTW on my 3DS.

I see a lot more of Switch on planes (Iíve even had a game of MK8 over link with a stranger) than I do on trains though. Guess itís better suited for an hour or two of portable gaming than, say, thirty seconds on the tube escalator.

I've used my Switch on some long train journeys, once in tabletop mode playing Overcooked with the wife. For shorter journeys (under an hour) i still tend to take my 3DS but i think that'll reduce as i whitle down the backlog. I've only ever seen one other Switch so far on public transport.

Oh, I got Sine Mora EX (physical copy) yesterday. Runs really well, no slowdown that I could discern and didn't appear massively degraded over the Steam version. Still love the game.

Only killer is the overly long initial load, which feels interminable. Probably 'only' a minute or a minute and a half or so. Very quick to get into missions after that initial delay though.

If you were gonna just put the console into sleep mode while you cane it, there's no bother. If you wanted (as I do) to dip in and out between other games then it might annoy.

I have noticed a few people in McDonald's of all places playing the switch. It does seem to be a really good idea by Nintendo to make a console fitting both markets.

I use my switch on my commute every day on the train, often there is at least one other person playing on theirs close by.

I had a nice chat yesterday with the bloke across the table from me about what we were playing and how awesome mario's going to be :)

I have a question for anybody who has completed Steamworld Dig 2. I've got massively off the beat and track and could do with some insight.

So, there's a point in the game where you upgrade your axe to the ignition axe. Shortly after this you're objective is to head to the bottom of the first main mine. Me, being the curious fool I am, decided at this point it would be better to further explore the surrounding area and mop up any secrets. I assumed i'd reached the end of the game at this point and so there was no harm. However, I have since come across 3 different machines that i've destroyed. This has now resulted in a change to the main objective, in which i'm now searching for Rosie.

My question is, should I go back and finish off exploring that main mine first, before confronting Rosie? It would seem i've skipped out a small chunk of the game, including an upgrade that I suspect is some kind of jetpack(?). I've completely cleared out the other two mines 100% (not realising they were going to be fully fleshed out mines). I assumed they were seperate, smaller areas.

    I'm looking to you, quaddy!

If I were to get a battery pack, which one would do the job?
On the flight, cant I just plug it into the USB socket to charge?

@Armoured_Bear Anker powerbanks (off Amazon) recommended. Will charge the Switch and anything else. Will need obviously to be taken out in scanning and you can't leave them in hold luggage. My experience with flight plugs is variable, some planes great , some not. Some even have a mains plug instead of a USB.

Looking at the box, I've a PowerCore+ 20100 USB-C, though I've seen posters here recommended the older version, and it's a 20 quid ish difference.

Never seen anyone else with a Switch. Or a 3DS for that matter. Saw one guy with a Vita once.

Thatís in god knows how many years of commuting to work.

Used to see kids with DS lites all the time.

I see a good few Switch owners on london buses and the tube. Saw a few on national rail services too.

Youíre taking the wrong trains. ;)

I'm going to get the RAVPOWER Powerbank RP-PB043 , it has 20100mAh and usb-c charging and I can get it tomorrow.

    At 17cmx8cm it's a wee bit big though :(

    So I need a USB-C - USB-C cable, 0.5m should be enough, eh?

I only take the Switch with me when I go on longer journeys and on holiday. I have never seen anybody with the Switch on buses or trains as of yet although I did see a few people on the 3DS.

I realised that on my trip I have 7 flights and 4x 3+hour train journeys so taking the Switch makes sense.

I still don't travel with the switch. I use the 3ds.
I travel very light for business and the switch is a bit too bulky. I am getting close though.

Now that you can a actually buy the things again I am getting less paranoid about losing or busting it whilst hotel hopping across EU.

    /stealth hotel hopping post?

@DangerousDave_87 Confronting Rosie is the last thing you will do in the game, so if you're aiming for 100% I would do your mopping up first.

    Hope this helps!

@GeezaTap Thank you very much :) I wish I'd just been a little less curious on my first run through the game!
