    Murder Commited Because of MMORPG

A Shanghai gamer who plays a MMORPG stabbed his competitor to death recently after said competitor sold the sword that the two jointly won. Qiu Chengwei, 41, stabbed Zhu Caoyuan in the chest multiple times after he discovered that Zhu had sold the dragon sabre that both had won together in the game The Legend of Mir 3.

The weapon was lent to Zhu, and then sold for a hefty 7,200 RMB (a little over $800 USD), and Qiu went to the police, who then told him they could not help him because the sword was online property not protected by law. Zhu apparently agreed to hand over part of the money but Qiu lost patience and stabbed Zhu in the left chest with great force, killing him.

No no, the point isn't the story.. it's the quote I got from Hyo.

Videogames do actually make you kill people.

Further evidence is the list of songs included in upcoming Donkey Konga 2. Now, this is a game I'm looking forward to.. or I was, but if I'd bought it not knowing about this tracklist I would have definitely killed someone. Not many people will know the full tracklisting before buying it, I think.. so let's just hope no one is going to buy it. Because this is something worth killing because of. This has been another installation in our ongoing series; And some people say videogames won't make you kill people.

From looking at the name, I can figure out who you could be, but you're saying that Donkey Konga 2 interests you knocks my theory out of the water slightly.

Incidentally, that's a great song list!

    Handbags! ;)

The name could tell me who it is though. I could also be horribly wrong though. :D

"No, I don't. But I called to talk business, so let's talk business. I want to be the first in line to get that battleship, and I know that according to the contract you set up, the biggest investor not only gets the first copy, but he also gets the original blueprint. So tell me, who's the biggest investor, and how much has he invested? And you had BETTER not lie to me, because I have my ways of checking up on people. If I find out that you have been lying, the first thing I'll do is persuade the other investors to withdraw, sending your little blueship pool crashing down. The second thing I'll do is put you and your entire newbie corporation on my kill list, and believe me, you do NOT want to be on my kill list."

Killing because of a sour transaction in made-up money with no real value or killing because of wasted time? Time, to me, is the most important currency. Would you have killed Errol for running off with all the money you'd spent the last month mining in EVE Online?

    Pointing out the obviouse:

The guy wasn't stabbed to death becuase of the videogame, he was murdered becuase of an argument that broke out that turned violent, you can have arguments over anything, including ofcourse video games.

The thing is.. the japanese ones have got anime music and more nintendo themes and so on. Which is just another dimension apart from this stuff when it comes to appealing.

if i burgle your house, steal your possesions and then the police tell you to piss off, i'm sure you'd be pretty angry/ frustrated. you wouldn't neccesarily stab me but i might expect a swift punch to the face.

The thing is, that even though I love animne themes and such, i realise that Nintendo have to appeal to the people who are buying the game (ie the mass public). Most of whom do not have any interest in anime themes

Pssst. Don't look now but you see that dude over there? I SAID DON'T LOOK, YOU IDIOT. Yeah, him. Ssuellid. Don't say anything, but I'm thinking he doesn't like me. Yeah. I know. Outrageous. That's, like, two jibes at me in the space of one page, man. What the hell is his -
Wait, he's coming back. Act natural.

But the Gamecube is not a mass public device, hehe.

Hehe. Very nice. At least there is some comfort in that thing.. because.. you know, there would actually be more Gamecube owners than Puddle of Mudd listeners. Beating something at numbers .. must be a Gamecube first.

    Proof.
