Trailer did bugger all for me. Same ole CGI filled shit we've seen a million times already. RDJ being RDJ, in a movie that he really shouldn't need to be in at all. Topped off with a couple of Spidey's C-list villains.
The couple of attempts at humour were also pretty lame...

    I'll be there day 1. :/

They seem to have a directive for all movie sequels to be an MCU buddy-film lately. I'm not complaining, just explaining. Thor and Loki, Thor and Hulk, Cap and Black Widow, Cap and Everyone, Spidey and Iron Man, Antman and Wasp, etc

As a huge Spider-Man fan I was a bit disappointed in the trailer. Too many explosions, too much story revealed and too much iron man.

I want to see more quips, Peter Parker and web slinging.

Will still watch it on opening night though.

    Keaton looks good as vulture

No point being a shared universe if everyone goes solo, and it makes sense in most cases (Thor and Hulk being the only real exception atm). Every film has done it n some way, normally just the post credit stinger but Fury and Widow were in Iron Man 2, etc. Hell, Coulson was in all of them.

Thor and Loki doesn't really count though.

They seem to be cribbing mostly from the ultimates version, so having Tony Stark filling the Nick Fury role makes sense.

I hope there's some plot left over for the movie. I'd advise anyone not to watch the trailer, they seem to spell out the first two acts in it, and the third act is always just "He wins somehow"

The trailer does seem a bit spoilery. Looks like a great film though. Don't really understand the CGI complaints as it would be quite difficult to have a real person swinging 100 feet high and climbing up walls.

Complaining about spoilers in a Marvel movie seems a bit silly.

Venom's a terrible enough character without adding a mumbly weird accent to him.

Yeah, seen both. Not sure on the "Jarvis" type stuff going on with his suit and the risk of a few too many gadgets but everything else looks top. Can see why Sony would be happy with tom, seems like they will knock it out the park with this.

The suit ai makes sense given it's from Stark, and I'd wager it won't be seen much.

    My assumed sequence of events:
Ned finds the protocol, they disable it, Parker uses the new toys and then Stark takes the suit from him.

Yeah, and maybe at the end he's offered the suit back, rejects it and decides to make his own instead.

    I quite like the trailer.

It looks like a fun take on Spiderman and the humour and oneliners make a lot more sense for the character than they did in something like Doctor Strange or with someone like Thor.

Hopefully having Tony Stark in the film means they'll have tried to differentiate Parker's humour from Stark's so you don't end up with that thing that most of the male Marvel leads have of just having a load of lines that sound like they weren't good enough for RDJ so got shared out among the lesser cast.

Also a big plus that we get more of a Spiderman Year One with him already powered, kitted out and finding his feet than the same Spiderman origin we've all seen a million times before.

Sort of. This is Disney/Marvel Spiderman whereas Sam Raimi and the reboot were made by Fox

Sony. It's nothing to do with Fox.

And this is the Marvel/Sony version.
