Once Beauty and The Beast came along, yeah. That started their resurrection basically. But save for The Little Mermaid their output through a lot of the 80s was... not good.

No surprise to see a lot of Downey Jr. in the trailer. Makes people aware that this Spider-Man in firmly in the MCU. That last shot at the end of the trailer was pretty damn good.

Wasn't too keen at first but I've watched it a few times now and I really like it.

Fed up of them? Not yet. GoTG looks like terrific fun. Like the idea of an intergalactic buddy film that they're doing for the next Thor film too.

I think we'll see a Justice League trailer over the weekend too. There are probably going to be about 10 trailers before Rogue One.

Yes, but in the late 80s/early 90s (which you cited) their output was excellent. That exact period is (somewhat wankily) referred to as the Disney Renaissance.

You just mentioned the wrong era, that's all. Leading up to that they were wank.

I've not managed to get through any of the last few ensemble Marvel films. Got 30 mins into Age of Ultron a few times, bored me to tears. Loved Deadpool and Antman though.

The Disney films (animated/Marvel/Star Wars) are the only films I'm guaranteed to see in a cinema on release every year. There are others obviously, like The Arrival, but I don't know what they are ahead of time.

Great to have Spider-Man in the MCU, the movie is looking good so far, Michael Keaton as the Vulture is a great choice but what I really can't wait to see is Spider-Man as an Avenger in the next Avengers movie, that is gonna be so awesome.

Could be worse. We could still have late 80s/early 90s Disney.
It wasn't that bad, Honey I shrunk the kids, Muppet Christmas Carol and Aladdin! \o/

Not to the point where I'll stop watching them, but definitely at the point where I'm totally unsurprised and unexcited at the prospect of a new one.

I'm becoming increasingly concerned at Disney's current hot streak. It seems like they've hit the perfect formula for solid blockbusters and are absolutely smashing out films at a terrifying rate. Pixar and Disney animated seem to be putting out 2 films a year each now, plus the non-animated remakes, there's christ knows how many Marvel films and a guaranteed Star Wars film every year now for literally forever.

It's just all a bit much and I can see similarities across all their output in the formula.
The problem for me is that they've hit that comic book level where nothing actually matters and there's zero gravitas even though they desperately want there to be some.

End of Captain America 2 - SHIELD is gone, what consequences will this have?!?!?!

    Avengers 2 - None whatsoever.

End of Iron Man 3 - Tony Stark gives up being Iron Man, what consequences will this have?!?!?!?!

Avengers 2 - OH LOOK IRON MAN

Civil War - The Accords! Fighting between Captain America and Iron Man, what consequences will this have??!?!?!?

Next Avengers Film - Probably none whatsoever

He's got a point, liked the trailer. My wife who seems to not like Spider-Man very much (or mainly all the recent films) said it looked good as well so maybe marvel have cracked it.

Didn't they think Jr was calling it a day when they made IM3 hence the ending? Then he stayed on so they just sort of ignored it all and quietly got rid of Pepper.....

Once again, Marvel have timed a trailer to drown out DCs latest:

I hope they can get this one right, because the origin reboots were getting tired. Trailer was alright.

    Take note, DC.

Probably a 7/10. Didn't drag on. Seen enough of Iron Man. Vulture was cool.

It's a Marvel film, you dont need a trailer to know what's going to happen.

I'm not really feeling this based on the new trailer. It seems muddled and confused. So we really need iron man? Does everything need to tie together with the larger marvel universe? Hopefully I'm wrong and it's awesome. At least it's better than the latest dc trailer in Brown Snyder shit-o-vision.

Doesn't given too much away as Shocker is also in this film.

Yep, everything has to tie in. There are also a LOT of people who may go and see this just because of Iron Man.

Gives away the whole "earn the suit" premise though.

Considering this Spider-man debuted in Civil War it seems odd to complain that Homecoming ties into those films.

Everything in the MCU (movies specifically, the TV shows are still a little separate) ties together.

Preferred the first trailer but still expect this to be good.
Keep Ironmans screen time down to around 10 minutes

I'll go see it as it's spidey but that trailer hasn't exactly filled me with excitement.. personally I'd much rather they'd kept Spider-Man out of the MCU but clearly there's plenty of money to be made with him in it!
