\o/ Won the 2nd hoverboard race on Ratchet & Clank last night - must have only taken 30 attempts...

So I'm now on the final few levels. It's not been a great experience TBH - the sound is as glitchy as hell and there's a fair bit of slowdown in places. I'd also forgotten how brown some of the early PS2 games were. That said, from what I've read R&C2 is technically better :)

    @Flying_Pig

I played the first one on Vita a while ago and I quite liked from what I played. Did seem glitchy though, specifically the sound.

I heard the games are pretty much playable on Vita though, and thankfully not as bad as the Jak 2/3 ports.

Gutted. Had held off buying this as thought it would be great on Vita.

Oh well, will just have to purchase next time it's on sale on the PS4.

Despite my better judgement, I've spent the last few days going back and getting some of the Skill Point's I'd missed, as well as all of the Golden Bolts. One trophy to get and then the final boss battle, which I should finish tonight.

Then it'll be a choice of Risk of Rain, Xenoraid, WRC4 or back to Odin Sphere Leifthrasir....

Quite possibly - I think I need to start my 4th character (Oswald?) playthrough, out of a total of 5 (I think). although I am tempted to play something new - especially as Risk of Rain seems to be getting a whole lot of love in the Vita Store thread :)

So I went for WRC4 in the end.

    It's OK.

It's definitely not a pretty game, but it runs fine and is pretty good fun. The short 2-3 minute stages are perfect for playing on the go and the game seems to have some basic career mode.

Trophies seem pretty easy to come by too, if you're a half competent racer :)

It'll definitely keep me busy for the rest of this week and probably into next, depending on whether I want to play through multiple seasons.

Not bad for about 3.50 :)

If anyone's interested, Oceanhorn and Plague Road are up for sale on Limited Run Games' site from 3pm. Obviously it's limited numbers do be quick if you want to get one!

    Tempted to grab Oceanhorn myself...

Can anyone tell me why someone would design a game intended for a a handheld console, which is frequently offline, whereby it tries up upload your race times after every single f**king stage and giving you an error message when you can't connect!?

And you can't stop it doing it!!

    It's bloody annoying!

Have you tried playing in airplane mode? That's what I usually do.

Started Full Throttle last night, very good so far. Been a good while since I finished something on Vita (probably Steins Gate in March, did a good few hours of 999 but think two visual novels back to back was too much for me) so must get back into some good handheld gaming!

I'll try it, but it does irritate me how something which (to me) seems so obvious has been completely overlooked...

    Other than that, WRC4 isn't a bad game :)

Edit: Still comes up with the error in both Airplane mode and if I turn wifi off... Still, with Airplane mode on, the error comes up slightly quicker, so saves me a few seconds after each stage... :)

I've just completed my first full season - 2 more to go, I think :)

Did Cosmic Star Heroine ever come out on Vita?

It's 6.49 on PS4 so I've gone for it on there, thought this was the best place to ask for opinions as I've not seen anyone talk about it other than in this thread.

Not yet, but the dev insists it's still coming (and I don't think it'll be cross-buy) which is why I've held out. From what I've seen, it's been very well received - mentioned in the same breath of Chrono Trigger, Star Ocean and other top quality 16-bit RPGs. It's apparently only about 20 hours long, too.

I think I've already made my views clear on the P4 one and then splitting the song list down the middle like that isn't a good look when even companies like Namco are providing 70+ tracks in their games now.

@Flying_Pig Cheers mate. Must say actually I read that it was relatively short which is what swayed me in the end!

Persona 3 and 5 rhythm games? My god yes. Persona 3 especially, still my favourite of the soundtracks.

Really, really hoping they're doing a "Golden" version of 3. Persona 4 Golden is by far my favourite game on the Vita, 3 would blow it out the water. Make it so!

@SomaticSense Oh yeah absolutely and I loved it, but it did lose a bit in the "cursor" movement shit rather than actually running around, didn't feel as involved.

    Make it so, Atlus!

@SaipoSexual good recommendations above, though I didn't personally get on with Fez. I'd also add Rogue Legacy, Spelunky, Nuclear Throne, Super Stardust Delta, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Shovel Knight, OlliOlli, Danganronpa and Toukiden: Kiwami.

Just a few then! I've noticed Tearaway is on offer for 6.49 at the moment too, which might be worth a look. I'm going to have a bash on the demo.

Axiom Verge is also awesome on the vita. And of course symphony of the night seems a perfect fit too.
