Tha game footage was excellent, if they can pull it off could be one of the games of the year!

I'll be surprised if it turns out as good as that looked!

More interested in this than any of the shitty bf4 or cod that was shown tonight.

Well it didn't look particularly advanced, just good solid game mechanics. I think it's all about how the other people play with that type of game, if you get 8 of you playing it 'properly' it could be reallllly good. Can't wait

Get a proper team going and this looks like it would be an absolute blast. One of the best titles shown so far this E3. Vegas 1 and 2 multiplayer were both criminally underrated.

I get the feeling this might be pitched as a competitor to CS:GO. 5v5, competitive setup. But slower. Could be a hit.

It looks good and I see no reason why what they showed couldn't be achieved. The campaign could be a lot of fun if it is like that, the isshe though is online. We all know what that will be like.

Looks really good and looks similar to Vegas 1 and 2. I've got no problem with MP only as the campaign has always been average with these games. But some Coop is a must IMO. Scenarios using the maps and terrorist hunt have to be in there. It's surely the one mode everyone goes back to.

I did like the look of this but I've heard that in one of the older Rainbow Six games (Veags? I've never played any of them), when you died your voice coms got cut immediately so there'd be times where you'd only realise they'd died when they stopped responding to you. I love the sound of that and would love it if it returned for this game! I guess the party systems make that harder though.

@MatMan563 it was to stop ghosters, you'd be able to see where other players where in the map and tell the people left alive. If they lock spectate to your team members then there is no advantage so they can keep chatting, however for immersion they should really stop chat once you die.

They could just make it so that if you're in ranked matchmaking you can't be in a party.

Would be great if the SP had the route planner like the original games.

If they don't fuck it up I reckon this'll be the game to make me take the current-gen plunge; I've loved RB6 for a very long time, and Vegas 1 & 2 are two of my most played games ever. Aaaaah, terrorist hunt....

    Destruction will be nice too

Yeah, massively impressed by that, especially considering its pre-alpha footage. Fully destructive environments, meaty guns, teamwork essential and built into the experience, etc.

Definitely one i'll be keeping an eye on.

    Heh, no chance.

Looks good - always liked Rainbow Six, right back to the first.

What I liked from the footage was that there was a dedicated sniper outside the house. By accident or design, it at least nods towards the game's heritage.

What concerns me about this and other games shown is that they featured heavily rehearsed co-op with people talking as if they were a character which I think gives a false impression. You just have to watch the twitch streams of Hard line to see how the reality compares!

I thought the trailer looked brilliant - a bit too brilliant in that most wonderful hook'em in with lies way.

If they can pull that off so it's functional and as good as it looked, then winner winner chicken dinner.

That said, noticing a lot of Payday influences this year at E3 between this and Hardline.

Some awful tactics in that demo vid. For shame!

Agreed. The demo vid looked great but I don't trust any prerelease material these days.

Multiplayer stuff stuff is basically machinima, and everything else has the graphics touched up shamelessly.

LOL that is blatantly a mock up of "gameplay", good old Ubi :)

could be interesting though, is it only MP? Hope not, hopefully there is single player so you can plan like the old R6 games.

Funnily enough this is definitely going back to the older Rainbow Six games if anyone played those(different ways of entering a level with various members of your SWAT team, only the AI was incredibly stupid back then).

I am a bit worried about the scale of the levels in the footage, i know its a kidnapping and all but i hope we go places a bit more grand. Hoping that the constant chatter is not like this in every level, feels like a bunch of teenagers playing SWAT, breaks the immersion.

I have high hopes for this, so hope they don't mess it up. I miss Rainbow 6 for slightly more tactical shooting fun.

If it can deliver something close to what it promised in that gameplay video, I'd be very happy.

Edit: I like the single life too. Do something stupid and that's it, no respwans always helps make it more tense, especially near the end when it's win or lose time... time to be your team's hero, or villain depending on how you do. It definitely ramps up the pressure.

    :)

I'm pretty sure that they'll have more levels than just "House level number 8". You do know they where playing a mp match. The voices where from "real" people, right?
