The first song from the new album Noctourniquet has been released.

You can listen to it on Spotify.

I like it, it's quite weird, but in it a really good way. A refreshing change from their usual sound, which in my opinion was starting to sound stale.

    Lyrics can be found here.

I must say I'm really looking forward to the new album, pretty much everyone who's heard the album has said this is the weakest track and if this is the weakest track, then the rest of the album must be very good indeed.

The album is out on the 27th of March.

They still going now ATDI are back?

Fine with me, although I haven't really enjoyed anything since Frances...

LOVE the first two albums, however.

i found ampucheture really hard to get on with, still don't really like it, took me ages to get into bedlam, but now adore it as much as there first two, and octachedrom i loved out the bag, its really quite a sensible record for them , its feels to me, a sort of lost led zep record.

but i can see why people can get lost with them. after frances and deloused i went through a period where i thought the same, and then bedlam just clicked open them up to me alot more.

Rumour is that The Mars Volta are no more.

It would be sad news if it turns out to be true, but at least the musicians will continue to create great music in other guises, for instance, you will now be able to get your Omar and Deanton fix from Anywhere.
