The details are very vague and sketchy, i'm sure it was made in the 1960's B&W, definitely British, could even possibly be TV not sure.

It was about a couple driving and stopping off in a village in the countryside, one of those villages where every stops what thery're doing and stares everyone is acting out of character and all is not what it seems and all a bit creepy... then investigation ensues mystery is solved etc...

I'm sure there are more than a few examples of what this film / tv could be could be any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks

Village of the Damned, if we're being serious.

Edited to acknowledge that my fingers were too slow.

    Guys, he wanted genre suggestions.

I'd like to recommend workplace comedies with a strong female lead.

'Films that are popular on Facebook'.

COME ON NETFLIX! Aside from that being the worst attempt at a 'genre' ever, I am almost the antithesis of that.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

And 'Angels and Demons' seems to fit into literally every genre definition. I smell money changing hands somewhere.

"Films that are popular on Facebook, unlike you".

    Netflix is cruel.
