I'm having issues with the site blinding me when I log in, thinking I'm a spambot according to an email response I recieved from C.Munro.

I've found that if I disable the WiFi in my phone it lets see and post (as I'm doing now) but via the wifi in this house I'm visiting (my sister's family) the site denies me.

It may cease to be an issue after I leave next week but it's annoying in the meantime. I check this site a lot.

Your sister shouldn't be a dirty, filthy spambot then SHOULD SHE?!

Sounds like her ISP has some IPs blacklisted, probably due to a bunch of infected zombie systems. Nowt you can really do except either get on to the ISP to contact the black list providers, sort out their customers or reboot the router until the IP changes.

Who's brilliant idea is to ban IP addresses?
Ever thought about dynamic IPs? the innocent users that will later use those banned IPs?

You'd be surprised. I worked in a school that was on a limited set of external IP addresses for a whole county of schools. It would be a regular occurrence that staff would be unable to get to a site due to being 'blacklisted' and to 'fix' it we would refresh a few times or wait a while and they could then get through.
Wikipedia was a great one for this.

I might try this tomorrow. Or maybe I can sneakily turn it off tonight when everyone's in bed. Then wake up tomorrow with everyone going OMG INTERNET WTF

FYI if you ever need to force change your dynamic IP address just change the MAC address of your router. I do this all the time if a free service ever says "wait 60 minutes before you do that again" or "maximum x reached for the day" etc.
