Agree, early stuff great. Trent now a pretentious drivel spouting mediocrity.

Nine Inch Elvis, that reminds me to get some "Dread Zeppelin" in!
    Good call! :)

The original Hurt is so good it makes me cry when i hear the Johnny Cash version. I think Cash murdered that song, murdered it. :(

    Dude... :oO
JCs rework of that was awesome, it changed the meaning of it so much, watch it with the video, its sad man.

I don't really 'get' the NIN love. From what I've heard, I like the early stuff, then at some point Trent Reznor seemed to disappear up his own arsehole and began spewing out pretentious drivel.

Would happily listen to that Nine Inch Elvis album, though.

I lost interest in NIN after The Downward Spiral. Broken is still, by far, my favourite NIN album.

Also, Jhonny Cash's version, of course, pisses on the original from a great height.

The new album has been recorded, mixing in Jan. Apparently it is loud.

Cash's version of Hurt only really works if you see the video at least once - it is really good then.

    Who knows :p

Still isn't really an disc id recommend for getting into NIN, its there for the people who know the material to take a quiet moment too, its perfect in its own way, i usually listen to it in bed, some of the songs are perfect to drift into sleep to...

I agree. It's nearly 2 years after he made the topic now, he should be in to them enough by now. :p

New single and a posting on the website that simply says "2 weeks".

Surely he can't be about to release another new album?

What happened to Trent, man? He does fuck all in forever, then he turns in to a machine.

    Ghosts V-VIII?

Could be, or Year Zero 2 (the new song has lyrics, so a non instrumental album is a possibility).

Or it could be something else - Ghosts remix, perhaps?

Guess we'll know in a couple of weeks.

I also got Ghosts in the post today. I was like "who the hell sent me something from California?" I had forgotten about it.

    Pleasant surprise is pleasant.

What version did you go for mate? I kind of regret not going for the $75 option now, Ghosts has been getting some serious play time on my Ipod for the past few weeks.

I'm quite gutted for not shelling out for the BR disc... looking back I think it was the postage that put me off :(

For the standard version I half expected a goose to personally fetch it from LA.
