I've never played a Layton game. Any prior knowledge required, or fine to jump into newest/latest/prettiest/best?

    EG review has me intrigued!

You can jump in at any time, it really is a fantastic series, though (especially if you enjoy puzzlers)

I'm still working my way though the previous 3DS Layton, the Miricle Mask. My first proper stab at the series and I'm loving it. They're great games to dip in and out of and great for short sessions. The missues has completed them all. She loves them.

    I'm glad I own a 3DS, because if I didn't I'd have to buy one!

It is a fantastic game, but doesn't the 3D sometimes have you cross eyed!

@MadCaddy13 Not really. It's not a game that NEEDS the 3D turned on. I sometimes have it on, sometimes off, depending on how I'm sat. I rarely experience any ill effect from having the 3D on.

@Murbal It's absolutely brilliant. I have played them all (Curious Village, Pandora's Box, Lost Future, Spectre's Flute and Miracle Mask) and they just keep getting better. The quality of the puzzles is good, too!

You should totally get it when it comes out!

Just purchased a 3DS XL from Argos to specifically play both of the 3DS Layton titles (offer ends tomorrow BTW). Long-term fan, but they are sort of a slow burn. Not the kind of game you binge on, but completely enjoyable in short doses.
