The voice of Edna Krabappel in The Simpsons has passed away at the age of 70.

EW has a full obituary on their website.

And they have the perfect video to go along with it.

Has it been confirmed yet? There was only a twitter update a few hours ago, but a lot of people were saying it might be a hoax

But one thing I can tell you, any time I hear the wind blow it will whisper the name Edna.

And so let us part with a love that will echo through the ages.

    RIP.

The Simpsons. The only cartoon series that will outlive all its original voice actors. RIP.

Sad news, though it made me think of Marsellus Wallace.

Great job to have had as an older actor so hopefully had a great life!

I think you're confusing the actor with the film character. The actor's name is Ving Rhames.

No confusion, it just made me think of the character.

But this is about the voice actor dying. Not the character. You can't think of characters in here. Just the people who play them. I think you've confused that there.

Alright, alright, let's not rub it in. I'm sure he feels bad enough about it already.

Very sad news made a bit worse by innacurate reporting by the bbc (again)

"Harry Shearer, the voice of her on-screen husband Ned Flanders, "

    Doh!
