Indeed, though as I said I've recently returned. On first play through I think I got to lvl 40. The loot 2.0 tempted me back and the I got Reaper of Souls to boot, so I've not actually invested a huge amount of hours in.

Anyway, why the long face? :)

@Commander Keen As you gear up now you're at 70 you'll get to a level where Torment 1 will feel the same as Normal once did in difficulty, and so on and so forth up the torment levels as your gear improves - although this will slow down as the btter your gear gets the less chance there is of an item dropping that is a significant upgrade for you.

It is worth it though as certain items will only drop in Torment.

If you haven't already also make sure you have elective skill mode on to put any skill in any slot.

    Wut is this?

EDIT: Just googled it. Can definitely see how this would be good in some classes!!

Seriously, it will open up an entire world of new builds to you :D.

Having a tough time? whack on 3 defensive skills. resource regen not a problem? swap in multiple spenders... as an extreme example.

As for gear now that you're 70 i'd spend some time in a simple difficulty obtaining some basic legendaries.

    a basic list of targets to aim for to tackle higher difficulties with the aim of clearing T1 fairly simply;

    1) get a slot on your weapon(s) - put the biggest emerald you can afford in to it for easy crit damage increase (need to match this with a decent crit chance though (30%cc is a decent number to aim for to start with).
    2) put as much crit chance and crit damage as possible on your rings
    3) build up armor and all resist over vitality as damage mitigation is better than a big health pool and no defence (i think monk gets a passive that should make this easier).
4)once you have an idea of a setup you like build in as much +elemental damage as you can.

As a very rough guide you'll want 300k+ sheet dps and 2m toughness for t1

Yeah but Normal? That becomes too easy at about level 10!

Unless you by Normal you mean Master?

It's too easy by level 1.

Must have taken months to get to 70 with the tiny drizzle of xp it awards you.

@Dirtbox It's genuinely been pretty quick. I've not sunk a huge amount of time in!

Been running T2 rifts instead now and they do seem to have a noticably better drop rate.

Been averaging 1.5 legendarys a rift.

Kadala is still killing me though. 1000 shards no legendary legs. Sigh.

Kadala gives me legendary gloves (usually magefists), but never the damn gloves I want.

At least you get legendarys off her. I get nothing but worse yellows than I already have. Hundreds of them. Literally two hundred.

Yeah - what's the tactic here? Save up a load of shards and spam her, basically?

Oh i did get my level 70 mirrorball from her which i was initially super chuffed about.

but then i noticed it only has ONE extra magic missile. My level 40 one fires TWO.

    @THFourteen

Given how much ypu loved that Mirrorball there is a part of me that finds that brilliantly funny that it only has one.

I found an Ashraea's (sp) set plan, with the highest bonus "sometimes your attacks will bring your followers to your aid".

Which sounds interesting, except that I've been neglecting my followers because I find them intensely annoying. :)

Got a lucky drop of a Stone of Jordan yesterday, and today I finally got a Ring of Royal Grandeur.

Overall DPS and toughness is down to 860k/4.1m, but a full Blackthorne (and Asheara) set should make mid-torment levels much more doable. Now to upgrade my followers!

Here's a link to anyone interested on the percentage drop rates for all the set / legendary items.

Looking at the info on that forum, unless you can rinse Torment 1 it seems that farming for Legendaries is best done on Normal in Rifts - is that right?

If by "best" you mean "fastest", then yeah. Normal is very dull, though.

Getting a bit bored of it now.  Had about 14 legs drop over a week or two and not a single upgrade.  Leg flash shiny losing its lustre.

I thought so too, but I had a really good session last night, with two very useful drops.

Heh, if that's any indication, I'm never going to get a Starmetal Kukri or Tasker and Theo. :(

Although my mojo is apparently as rare as either of them, so maybe I'll get lucky again!

Anyone want to take a stab at suggesting improvements, or items to aim for etc? Am hitting a brick wall in the old upgrades department. Maybe I need to look at my build too.

You should spend some money upgrading your gems thats a fairly easy way to give yourself a few stat boosts.

Also your neck has no crit damage % on it. Like a 90% crit chance would be better than all that strength. I think.
