My experience with the Enchantress on late Act II Inferno is that she's rarely alive long enough to chicken the bad guys! Lazy cow.

I jest of course. My Templar is sporting some pretty tasty gear, and he can go toe-to-toe with most of the bad guys out there.
I haven't got many decent drops for the Enchantress, though, so she's relegated to one-liners back in the town. -

Registered 4 years agoSo trying out the free client and this looks better than I expected. If i click upgrade I'm sent to the Blizzard site (obviously) where the price is 45 quid. If I buy on amazon for the more reasonable 33 quid, can I add the code from the box via battle net and be fully upgraded that way? -

Registered 4 years agoSo when the inevitable expansion is announced (I reckon next year), has anyone got any ideas for what new classes they would like to see?Now with 80% more Cthulhu!
-
I haven't even made a dent in the classes in the main game yet. Classes be humped, I just want acres more content and more variety in locations and scenarios.

Registered 4 years agoI'd expect at least an extra act (or maybe 2) offering around another 8-10 hours of content, 2 new tilesets (dungeon and overworld), and at least 1 class and new companion class, a raise in the level cap of another ten levels, around another 50 new legendaries, new recipes and designs, new blacksmith and jewel tiers, and some sort of new rune/crafting system along the lines of the Horadric Cube from DII.
As far as classes go, another melee would be nice (to give an even split of 3 melee/ 3 ranged), a hybrid, or something pretty radical. A revamped Paladin or necromancer type that could heal/lifedrain, and make monsters switch sides would be coolNow with 80% more Cthulhu!

Registered 4 years agoI don't get the fundamentally broken argument. At all.
Fair enough if you have an unstable internet connection, but other than that I don't consider it broken. There are big changes I'd make (I think I posted them earlier in the thread a few weeks ago), but broken to me is a game that simply doesn't work as advertised. Now with 80% more Cthulhu!

Setting the bar pretty low there tbh. After chasing sunsets one of life's simple joy is playing with the boys

Fundamentally broken shmundamentally broken (it's a word, fuckers).
100 hours on the clock and counting. I'm daring any of this year's other clicky loot whore games to wring more out of me.

I'm honestly interested to know why you consider it broken - I'm not looking to argue, just interested. Now with 80% more Cthulhu!

Only a hundred hours? I racked that up in my first two weeks! Admittedly I haven't touched it in a while, but that's mainly due to other games coming out rather than boredom. This baby pretty much got me through the thin spring and summer drought release schedule.

Yeah, but you spending a hundred hours in a game isn't exactly breaking news is it, darkwotsit? By contrast, I'd be surprised if I managed 100 hours in all my gaming combined in the whole of 2011.
For a while there in July/August I was actually getting up early and playing before work - unprecedented for me.

Registered 5 years agoI've spent about 100 hours on this now, something that only happens every couple of years, Fallout3, Shogun2 & PacMan CeDx were the last ones.
In the last 6 months I've stopped being an avid games player, but this is a nice little distraction.
I get that social MP fix and a nice steady feeling of progression whenever I log on. My highest lvl char is a lvl 51 Monk.
I don't think it's broken, but then I haven't got involved with the AH.
A couple more acts would be nice. -

darkwotsit? That's a new one. Gave me my first glol of the day.gif)
And me spending a hundred hours on a game is rarer than you think - I think my list of unfinished games where I basically just had a "bored now" breaking point and ejected the disc outnumbers the ones I loved enough to want to keep playing for 100 hours by about 4:1.

The AH is what you make of it... I agree it's a bit too prominent, and it's disappointing that the usage limits that Blizz originally promised to moderate use didn't materialise, but if you have the willpower you can still earn stuff yourself - especially now they've increase drop rates and introduced paragon levels. With regards to Legendaries, they've promised new ones in the next patch.

Registered 4 years agoThe only way the AH breaks the item hunt is if you use it. Playing with self found gear is the only way to go (for me anyway) as otherwise It'd just ruin the sense of fun of finding good loot and that to me makes up a large chunk of the game. -
Took down Diablo last week on nightmare, the whole fight lasted little more than a minute.
I commented so on team chat and a player replied that one of team was using an illegal weapon. -
