That was so good, but then so is every other episode. Love this programme.

Only thing that made me question the episode was, is admitting you planted a battery on Chuck in a court of law perfectly ok, seems like entrapment or something?

@Furtive_Pygmy That crossed my mind too. But then, Chuck admitted to have staged the whole thing with Jimmy? Dunno, I'm no lawyer.
    Ep was brill.

It all went a bit "You want the truth, you can't handle the truth" didn't it.

They pointed out in the previous episode how the review panel weren't as stringent on entrapment as a court of law. I think you'd have a hard time showing putting a provably harmless battery in someone's pocket was malicious or anything too.

    Ah, sweet release!

What a pay-off episode. Brilliantly shot and acted!

The (very, very slightly, because Chuck is a cunt) heartbreaking thing is that his ranting and raving at the end is all basically true. He sounds like a crazy person, but he's right about Jimmy.

Agree with the comments, it was a fantastic episode.

    "I'm not crazy!!!"

Ooooooh, you've just fucked yourself there, Chuck. And in front of your ex-wife. He's never letting Jimmy get away with this though!

I'm loving this series so far, even though none of my mates could get into it. Frankly I could just watch either prong of the storyline in isolation, either Make calmly going about his "jobs" (which is strangely engrossing) or Saul's struggle with his brother and life in general.

What makes the show so great is that you get both! Such a treat every week.

It was utterly compelling, and had no action in it at all. It was completely different from any BB episode I can remember (except maybe for the masterful bottle episode with the fly), and that's exactly what I want from this show.

    Fuck you, Chuck. Fuck you.

Yeah it's a great show. The gf was catching up on Breaking Bad last year and I thought she'd enjoy BCS as well but the slow pacing didn't do it for her and she never really got into it.

Doubly annoying as I'm settling in for a top notch episode like last week and she's seeing Gus and Mike on screen and then Chuck in the courtroom.

What did he do? Why did he sabotage his brother?
So this Kim is his girlfriend?

If she'd give it a chance and watch it from the top, I'd definitely enjoy re-watching it all with her.

Well, all I can say is that season 3 has gone from slow to positively glacial.

I quite enjoyed season 1, season 2 was excellent, but so far season 3 isn't exactly lighting my candle.

I am currently rewatching BB which really shows how different Better Call Saul is. While I prefer the former I still find Saul massively enthralling.

If it wasn't for watching it BB again I probably would have missed the cameo right at the start of the latest Saul episode.

Started season 3 and was expecting a recap, can't remember who mike was out to get or anything.

    Anyone got a decent recap?

I LOL-ed at that commercial. Ep was rather meh?
Why is Mike's daughter even there, she's unnecessary. Don Hector on the other hand, scares the hell out of me.

It was a cool down episode after the drama of the last one.

Sucks when you are watching them on a week by week basis but is kind of important for pacing.

If you binge seasons or at least have a less protracted experience they make for better viewing.

I liked it but less Mike always makes me sadder. He's so watchable.

Another brilliant episode. I totally called the video/reveal. I love how everything is coming together.

    Good episode.

Are we now to assume that Nacho is the one responsible for Hector's 'condition' in Breaking Bad?

ah shit, I don't remember, but somehow he is afraid of something, and I want to see how that something finds him

No, he goes into hiding because of what happened in BB (with the police/cartels/nazis/crazy Walt), not directly because of anything that's happening in this series.

yeah that is fair enough, but why shouldn't there happen anything in that time at the end. to Close the circle.

I would like the series to end in that time. with a few meaty episodes within that time.

Oh sure, I'd like it if there was something to close off his story. He seems like a decent guy despite everything, and I wouldn't want him to remain in misery. Walt was much more evil as a character than Jimmy.
