hi all, new here and looking for some advice,

im thinking of getting into pc gaming after seeing what they are capable of and have had a look through various sites at different systems i came across this and was wondering if it was really as good as it sounds/makes out or just looks that way to a noob?!

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FAST-16Ghz-Quad-Core-Gaming-PC-1TB-8GB-3D-HDMI-1080p-USB3-HD-7660-WIFI-Computer-/121152712732?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item1c3543b01c

i realize this isnt a top of the range system but would it be a good place to start for not alot of money? as im not willing to blow £2000+ on a machine that gets around 10-15 hours of use per week

alot of people have said i should build my own but tbh i would be WAY out of my depth!

any help would be very much appreciated and if iv posted this in the wrong place i apologize as iv just joined 5 minuts ago lol

    Thanks

    Don't buy, piece of junk.
Don't buy from people that claim that a processor runs at 16Ghz because it's a quadcore.

There's almost the exact same build on ebuyer brand new for more than £100 less.

I wouldn't want to play any games on that machine.

Skyrim doesn't need much. I'm running i5 2500 8GB & 1024MB Radeon 6800. I've got better trees, better grass, towns and villages enhanced mods and it runs at about 30 - 50fps.

I would just up the card to whatever is good now (mine was £80 over a year ago)

BTW - get ENB Better Lighting mod because it is amazing.

Personally would have an i5 over anything AMD offers, at my last check the i5 weren't a great deal more expensive.

A quick check just suggested a radeon 7790 is around £90 for a decent brand. A GTX 650ti is the nvidia alternative around £90. Check the benchmarks, I think they are roughly the same in performance.

CPU and Graphics card are the bread and butter for gaming.

edit: If you haven't owned a PC before I would suggest not building one. I have basically rebuilt my current one through upgrades and overheating has been a problem for me.
You don't need to spend £2000, £500 should be plenty for a very very solid system.

If you really don't want to build one yourself, getting something like this and buying the graphics card you want seperately to just place in there would be a better option. A blindfolded monkey could install a GPU.

    @whatthefu

With the current top AMD CPUs they match the i5 and depending on the application even surpass, yes even games.  If the price is right I can't think why you wouldn't want a 8350,  especially as multi threading becomes more popular. This is regarding gaming of course, and everything being equal. Iam just saying if two systems are identical just one is AMD and the other Intel I don't see why should be a forgone conclusion.

But yes I agree you don't need more power and the bulk of the budget should go on the graphics card.

Known as 'Sharzam' in 98.5% of games

Best advice I could give to the OP is- Use punctuation, you fucking numpty.
Funny how in threads like this tolerate it and Gracie comes out all reasonable. LOL

Yeah, get some punctuation in there. You're not a console gamer anymore.

    (am I doing it right?)

Also, don't buy anything until the Steam sale is on. Or some sort of sale.

Bullshit. You type like that because you are just lazy and think it will do.

Either way, that PC is balls.

Time spent to punctuate a post:- Seconds.

Time spent being perceived as an idiot for lack of punctuation:- Forever.
