This one seems to have condensed every Matulef Mistake™ into a single piece (except that it's not a stupidly-positive or pointless Kickstarter article). From Gamestop announcing that they'll be 'selling out of print "vintage" titles' (as opposed to 'selling out-of-print "vintage" titles'), through the apparently-unthesaurusable "whopping", a sprinkling of basic English mistakes, and the requisite I, I, I at the end (instead of "Eurogamer". It's almost as if he knows he could be fired at any second, and doesn't consider himself to be part of the staff).|
And just to test his investigative journalism skills... "To put this in comparison, the cheapest used copies I can find for Xenoblade Chronicles and Metroid Prime Trilogy on Amazon US are $91.99 and $80 respectively, before shipping, and eBay's not any better. So in this regard, GameStop's prices are in line with the current market value" - well, I put "Metroid Prime Trilogy used" into Google and found it for US$29.99 (although it did involve going all the way down to the third result). Maybe he's got a copy on eBay and he's trying to inflate the price? Edit: although looking more closely, that does seem to be store pick-up only, and it's not available in New York (I don't know any other places in the US). Could it be... have I made a mistake?!? Well, at least this is only a forum post and not a front-page news article.
