Yeah, they have porn blocked where I live. Doesn't work though, there are plenty of proxy sites and VPN networks that give you access to the spank bank.

    Disappointing
I had contemplated one of Maude Flander's body, with Cameron's head on top, but the prospect of looking at loads of pictures of David Cameron until I found one that fitted the image, turned my stomach.

TBH I'd be disappointed in my kids if they couldn't find a way round anything I put in place to thwart them. I'd feel a failure as a geek father.

What? Oh. I have some things to delete I think.

@Articulate-Troll Which ironically probably helps the more dodgy stuff. If they force people accessing normal porn to go down these routes it will help those after stuff like child porn because suddenly you have the police having a much harder job telling what they have to worry about and what they don't. Pushing normal porn under ground will undoubtedly help the stuff we really want to block.

Personally I will be letting my ISP know I am a pervert and want to be added to the ISP pervert list so I can have uncensored full fat internet. I want to be able to watch stuff like this whenever I want.

    "possessing online pornography"

Surely that is not possible unless you own the server where the image is hosted. One doesn't possess porn found on tube sites either. I know it's a minor point but if they're considering drafting laws they should at least have a fucking clue!

You are a factory of sadness.

There will always be a way around this shit though, huh?
Only the technologically illiterate, like Cameron and his chums, think there won't be.

In other news, sales of VPN services up 10 fold by the end of next year...

Ah, fair enough, I suppose that makes sense. Doesn't the incognito view stop things being cached though?

Yes. But I don't know the exact mechanics of how it works, I assume it's still storing images temporarily somewhere and simply clearing them when the browser closes. If you were viewing something that the gov disagreed with they could still pull traces of it off the HDD or RAM.

The conspiracy theorist part of me was wondering if it was a deliberate set up so that it would clash with some European law that bans filtering or some such.

Then he gets "Europe pushes child porn into you living room" type headlines and he gets a battle to fight for the Eurosceptics.

Phones up broadband supplier to unblock porn

Customer Service: So you want to unblock your porn?
    Me: Yes
CS: Let me just pass you to the dept that deals with this...
Porn Dept: Hello sir, this is the CIA/MI5 help desk....erm I mean your broadband supplier. We've added your details to our secret database...erm I mean your request is being processed. While you wait could you tell me, are you a paedophile?
    Me: What?
Porn Dept: I think it's best we take that as a 'yes'. Please just hold the line, we'll have someone come around to your house very shortly to arrest...err I mean re-enable your porn access.
Me: Wait, is the government storing this request in some secret file about me?
PD: Haha no of course not. We and Mr Cameron will always swear that we'd never do anything like that. Of course my saying that is all you need to trust us.

(Sound of cars pulling up outside, sirens blaring)

    Me: You lying fuckers!
PD: It's your fault Sir. Everyone knows that if you look at naked pictures of women you must be a latent paedophile/rapist. We're just protecting society from you.
Me: But I just want a wank... (sounds of a scuffle followed by loud shouting and finally several volleys of gunfire)

Is the scuffle, shouting and gunfire the police coming, or just a particularly epic wank?

Weren't we in danger of massive de-population as coming(!) generations learn everything about sex from Internet porn, where every sex act ends with a swallow or getting splashed on the knockers?

@DFawkes Mr Fawkes, this is MI5. Please do not attempt to contact Mr Mofo again. He does not exist. By association we are also presuming your guilt. Your name has been added to our list of "Men who like to choke the chicken". We'll be coming to visit you shortly.

Unbelievable that it goes on to say it's going to tackle the "Web sleaze" when on the right hand side of the page, it's littered with women with their tits practically hanging out.

    Laughable, fucking laughable.

Obviously the reason why the DM are so keen on blocking Internet Pr0n is that they want everyone to visit their website to look at scantily clad, surgically enhanced women.

Is this the second or third time a British government has proposed blocking internet porn?

Also, for those who say it's all a case of not being lazy parents, which is your favourite app for blocking content on phones and tablets?

Saying that, I think a reasonable middle ground might be to force all phones to be registered based on age of the user. A phone that is registered to an under-18 would then have automatic porn filters active. Not sure how you could manage the same with tablets, but at least tablet manufacturers would then see a huge increase in demand for their products from Britain.
