I wanted to ask a very specific question, but it's kind of silly starting a thread for it and so I'll throw a question out there.

Who remember: The sauce ( chocolate - maybe other flavours ) that you squeezed as a liquid onto icecream and it set hard? I used to like that when I was younger. It maybe still around but I haven't seen it.

So throwing the question out there, what foods/drinks do you remember from years back that aren't around anymore?

If you live near a giant Tesco you'll find it in the foreign foods section.

YES!!!!! ICE MAGIC! Thank you. Might be near a Tesco on the weekend so will have a look. Cheers guys.

So any fond memories of food gone by? Blancmange? Mousse used to come in all kinds of flavours and was as popular as yogurt is now.

    Munch Bunch yoghurts.

    Tube Crisps.

I'm sure there was a horror-themed Munch Bunch spin-off too, with vampire, werewolf and mummy themed yogs. Fucked if I remember what they were called, though.

yep, ice magic is sadly long gone, like my aforementioned much-missed pacers...:(

    also:

    lincolnshire sausage brannigans crisps

some obscure sweet thing from my childhood which consisted of loads of little oval stickers with amusing messages on and a stick of gum in a packet...absolutely no recollection of what this was called (as its 30 or so years ago) and have never had any success finding out

Anyone remember what those stick on tattoos were that you ate? They must have been so full of sugar because we would always fly around the house for hours whenever we had them.

I swear Curly Wurlys were three foot long when I was a kid. Now they're barely even funsize.

Same with creme eggs, though obviously not to such a degree, but they used to be so much bigger. And awesome.

Texan bars. If you put it in the fridge for a while, it could take you about an hour to eat, and you'd end up with jaw muscles like Desperate Dan!

Ah, the age old "Were Wagon Wheels bigger or my childhood hands smaller?" conundrum.

Twinkies are already back. Like, properly back. Our local Walmart had a display virtually reaching the roof.

REALLY?!? I heard there were talks of selling the recipe, but I didn't know it was already done. They don't have them in my market yet, but it should be only a matter of time.

    Life is worth living again!

"Texan Bar.... sure is a mighty chew." Top value for your pocket money, as it took 17 days to chomp your way through a single bar.

Farmer Brown's anyone? The crispy snack full of moo, neigh, woof, baa, and cockle-doodle-doo?

I think it was them, the crisps - some amazing Lidl Mexican crisps that weren't the usual Doritos shit cheese/'cool' bollocks, but were spicy and salty and absurdly addictive.
