Recorded or not, you should have at least asked for a 'proof of postage' receipt from your Post Office. It would have allowed you to file a compensation claim with Royal Mail if the item went missing.

Hopefully this'll encourage you to sell/swap your games on this forum, you little scallywag.

While it uses Amazon to do the payment processing etc, you're not actually selling them to Amazon, at least that was the case when I did my one and only trade-in.

Traded in numerous times and worked perfectly - even upped the quality on a item or too giving me more than expected.

Do get a proof of postage, standard practice when sending anything through royal mail.

Wish I saw this thread (and the others on Amazon's site) before I went to trade in my copy of Fifa 14 for the PS3>PS4 upgrade deal.

10 days and waiting for them to still actually receive it, although yes there is the possibility of it getting lost in the post but after a bit of research the chance of getting scammed by the third party doing it is looming!

Just hate myself for not sending it recorded like I usually would (as they give you free postage to print out.

@danathjo just badger Amazon. I've had to chase a trade-in a couple of times. Amazon will eventually credit your account as a goodwill gesture. I've never not had my funds.

will do, just as long as I can get it sorted this month before the special deal runs out!

I had no problems after I traded about 30 games.
Delivered to them the next day, credited my account that evening. They even changed all of them to 'as new' so I ended up 50 better off (paranoid they would send them back)
Isn't there a tracking number on Amazon?

I've traded in games with them a few times now and had no problems but I do always send items recorded delivery if they're more than 20, just in case

@danathjo just asked the wife if she remembers, she said I got a receipt from post office with a tracking number.
I don't remember that (old age affecting my memory), but I definitely remember not sending them recorded, just the label I printed off.

Trying Amazon trade in again. Hopefully they won't lose my parcel this time (although to be fair to them, they did give me a voucher for the full value anyway).

They've currently got an offer on for a 10 voucher which you can use against Halo, Unity, GTA V, CoD:AW, or Far Cry 4 if you trade in 25 worth or more.

    Avoid Amazon trade-in lads.

I sent in my complete collections of Hannah Montana games and ether and now I'm in custody.

Amazon now offer collect plus collection for your trade in. You are pretty much covered now I guess if they do go missing, whole process is tracked.

Amazon CS is brilliant, asked about a replacement pad due to the rubber issue, they replied saying they were sorry about Battlefield 4 not working and as they no longer stock it, gave me 50 credit. Got a friend to swap the pad in Game using their receipt so happy days.
