I remember from classes years ago that Word offers functionality to quickly make a ton of letters that have only slightly different content each. For example, a generic order confirmation that starts with "Dear [insert title] [insert name],". Word has a way to create a standard text, then show several popups to fill in the blanks of this text (title, name, address, etc). This way, you can quickly make lots of letters without having to bother with copy paste.
Anyone know what this functionality is called so that I can find it on google?

And just use that template as your base.
There might be a more fancy way, but that would be the way I'd do it, Not knowing this other way you're thinking of.
Or if your using a list of names/addresses in excel this might be helpful.
Also the term you might be looking for is "Mailshot".
That might help with a google search.
