    Predictions for today??

Most of the comments I've read are going for a sprinters day with an outside chance of a breakaway being able to last.

I'm predicting a Cavendish win with Greipel and Sagan in close contention.
    ***cough***

Pity he's not in my fantasy team though!

    :)

Not in mine either sadly. You can definitely spot those who did have him though, some hefty point gains for them!

Same again tomorrow, no doubt too.

Yaaay for De Gendt. Without Cav in my team, he at least netted me some points.

Today should be fairly predictable, looking at the stage profile.
  • Deleted user 4 July 2013 09:57:33
sigh, yeah. My team got a good amount of points, but every one else got much much more :( Greipel needs to up his game!

The wind may be a factor today, sided winds may split the peleton or cause them to bunch up to avoid that which of course means CRASHES! (again)

    I'm going for Greipel today.

Its going to be pretty strung out as well, Theres a slight hill at the end which obviously favours the like of sagan, QS, will probably be on the front nailing this for a while to give Cav a chance.

oh by the way, Jurgen Van den broeck is out, got caught up in the pile up yesterday.

sorry for the triple post, but grey matters really has made me chuckle just now, last place, and his name is grupetto. blinder, and i'm second to last, peddling squares.

    :)
You know that you are going to have a great Fantasy TdF when, as early as the fifth day, one of your team wins a stage and you are still last.

Yeah, seeing Grupetto in last place made me smile. :-)

    Shit day for VdB. :-(
He centers his entire season around the tour in the hopes of a podium finish. Risky strategy. That's twice in 4 years he's out due to a crash.

Looks like I dodged a bullet with Bouhanni. I had concidered him for my velogames line-up.

    *whew*

Does that fantasy thing show you when people are out? I can't really keep track.

I think so yes. There's a green check mark behind everyone's name in the column "starting".

There's only a handful out at the moment.

Spelling aside. Damn fine job by Greipel's lead out train today. Delivered him right where he needed to be. Let him take the right side and his last man dropped off forcing Cav to make a slight detour. Although even without that there was no catching up with Greipel.

Jens on the attack, hopefully he'll stay out and win the stage and take me off last place!

    Mountains!

First chance to see what kind of form the GC riders are in. I'm hoping that Dan Martin can stick with the leaders pace and eventually scrape into the top ten.
Does today look like a Voeckler day to anybody else?
  • Deleted user 6 July 2013 10:29:33
Yeah vockler day!, also expect chavanel in the break.

Got work today though, and i leave home at 4.15 which is bloody right on the cusp of stage ending. Working all day tomorrow as well :(

talking of mountains, it may be sometime before we see the tourmalet back in action. Devastated by floods: The western side of col seems quite badly affected.
