Finally managed to download this last night. Was going up to have a quick half hour til midnight but ended up playing til 2am. Very tired at work today but it was worth it. Controls were a bit fiddly to begin with but once you get them down it's great fun. Well worth the price tag and can't wait to play it again later.

Yep, and I'm fairly sure it said 500 odd on my PS3 as I downloaded, hence my conclusion that it was a combined total. Quite happy to be corrected though.

I saw this game and thought that looks sh*t. However, having been given 20 psn credit by Sony for free I thought why not, I'll support this developer with Sony's own money.
My god this is good. I have a 40 minute train journey in the morning and I was still playing this (and not wanting to stop) as the train was pulling into Kings Cross.
Great game and well worth the money. It's a very 'Just one more try' game.

The more they sell the more likely we are to get Hotline Miami 2 as well I reckon.

Never realised you can add to your Wallet with PayPal and mobile operators!

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

Hm, so is it just me finding the difficulty annoying? :(
I get that it's supposed to be hard but man... I'm OK with meleeing the first few guys but as soon as I fire a shot and they swarm, I'm fucked. Are you people aiming with the right stick at all or just relying on auto lock?

Guns tend to be a last resort, if you have an option use melee or throwing your gun or melee weapon is the best option.

This an excellent game, but personally I find the music to be pretty terrible, considering the hype. Annoying tunes is not great music. Considering the scope for a glorious 80s spoofathon musically, I think they missed a trick there.

L1 to pickup/throw. Press x repeatedly to smash head of unconscious enemy or hold x to use them as human shield.

Throwing them is covered on the very first level of the game.

The music is amazing! It's catchy as hell, is very well produced, and matches the frantic gameplay perfectly. I not sure a Double Dragon Neon style 80s spoof would have worked anywhere as well with regards to it synergy with the on-screen craziness.

One of the opening tunes sounds like the main theme in Lost in Translation - instant gratification for me at least.

I've bought the game but I'm saving it for a long haul with headphones in a couple of months. Meanwhile I'm loving the soundtrack on soundcloud.

"Guns tend to be a last resort, if you have an option use melee or throwing your gun or melee weapon is the best option."

I'm so glad you said that as I thought I was doing it wrong. The guns are so difficult to use!

I'll feel less like a loser sticking to bashing people with pool cues and throwing knives at dudes.

Am I right in thinking that one of the finishers I did with the pool cue was to play a proper pool shot on some guys face? It happened so fast I kind of missed it. Made me laugh though.

In terms of the music fitting the visuals and atmosphere of the game I think they nailed it. Think of it in terms of what music you imagine would be playing in your head during an 80s based psychotic break. :D

It makes the murder more intense and gritty IMO.

Straight up 80s style tunes would have been a bit awful but they could have went for options I suppose? 80's pop, Rave etc on top of the atmospheric soundtrack to insanity?

Guns are a good option when you are down to the last couple of guys and can burst into a room killing them both >: D

This game actually has the Spectrum magic where it leaps to life and becomes 100x more real than its graphics.

Or maybe I'm just crazy. :S

Yeah, still think this is awesome.

Not sure how far through the game i am but it just oozes old-school charm and the gameplay is just addictive as hell.

Anyone know what the PS3/Vita sales are looking like?, really hope its selling well so we get HM2 as well!
