So, anyone else tried it? I downloaded it yesterday evening (800-900MB I think) and it is glorious fun. I have already played it on the PC and the transition to Vita is perfect. It looks great on the screen and after getting used to the quite sensitive Vita sticks (used X360 pad on PC) I am having a blast.

Haven't tried the PS3 version (free with crossbuy) yet and not sure I am going to. This game is so perfect for a handheld and the short missions with fast paced gameplay and "just one more retry" is addictive like crack. Likewise the 80's synth music.

    Totally worth the £7.

    Superb fun!
I'm using the lock on function sometimes, that first dog being the ideal situation but more often doing some freestyle killing

I like the idea of this on a big screen with the volume cranked up.
    Will buy come payday.

Downloaded it last night. Played it on the way into work this morning.

Awesome, disturbing and compulsive. Like a puzzle game where the solution is always murder.

I did get to download and play it last night, I have already got it on the PC but it seems a better fit on the vita for some reason, probably the colours on the OLED screen and it's quick pick and play nature.

Still very good but more importantly dying isn't frustrating because when you fail it's always because you fuck up as the guard movements are always predictable and the reload is instant so your not waiting around for your next death.

If the solution isn't murder, then you aren't doing it right.

Just played 10 minutes of this at lunch time and completed a chapter. It really plays brilliantly on Vita.

I have the feeling the controls are going to turn out better than any alternative too, as while unusual they do give amazing control when you are in tune with them.

    The art style is fantastic.

It was around 460mb for me I think? Maybe 962mb is the PS3 version? My card was full and deleting Big Sky Infinity freed up enough space so I don't think it can be that much bigger than Big Sky was.

I'm trying to hold off buying this. I've got a fairly hefty backlog on my Vita, but this does sound awesome!

I think the 960MB is the combined total of PS3 & Vita. Downloaded on both last night but only got a chance to play the first chapter. Seemed like fun.

Buy it Pig! You know you want to ;)

The more they sell the more likely we are to get Hotline Miami 2 as well I reckon.

I downloaded it from PSN on the Vita and it was the 960MB, så it would be more when PS3 edition is included.

Interesting, I'll check it on the Vita.

DevolverDigital have said when they get sales results on PSN next week they will make a decision about bringing Hotline 2 to Vita. Fingers crossed it is doing well.

If anyone's not sure about it yet, watch Sips' Youtube playthrough.

    Legendary.

I said in the Vita thread, but I'll say it again here. Most fun I've had in ages.

Can some kind soul explain the controls (I haven't played it) left stick for movement, right for shooting? I'm just gauging if I'll like it, love what I've seen.

I'm not feeling any frustration at the repeated deaths. Even after the 30th attempt. It's strange.

Half the time it's so sudden I find myself laughing!

Left stick move, right stick aim, right trigger shoot, left trigger pick up/throw items... X smash heads to a pulp or take a human shield...

    edit: @ Monsieur pon

@mrpon There may be other controls but so far I've used:

    Left stick - movement
Right stick - character orientation (doesn't fire like a twin-stick shooter)
RB - use weapon (eg. fire gun, swing crowbar)
    LB - pick up/drop weapon
Square - lock onto nearest enemy (instead of manually facing him with the right stick)
Front touch screen - select enemy to lock onto

edit - oh yeah, X finishes off injured bad guys

@monkman76 oh. There's a lock on? Somehow passed me by yesterday - would have come in very handy!

You must be pretty good to be doing it all with manual aiming!

Like I said in the other thread, I prefer the vita controls to keyboard and mouse

It's not like I've finished the game! I've done like 4 levels! With multiple playthroughs of them :-)
