    EVERYTHING STAY SAME NOW

A map is like comparing velocity and speed.

I take it this means the 'family sharing' idea is also dead?

Did you read the statement? It's all there. No sharing, no reselling digital purchases

They're also not going to have region restrictions

Xbox One games will be playable on any Xbox One console -- there will be no regional restrictions.

@YoshiMcTaggis Yeah cause no company ever had to change their ways which is exactly what Sony have been doing since they announced the PS4.

Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray.
Crapping suck asses! One of the features I would have really enjoyed.

    Thanks, whiners!

From what I've seen so far a lot of the "Fuck you MS, I'm going PS4!" people and now suddenly stroking their pondering chins and pondering.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Christ what a mess. Now its back to how it was. Haters can bitch about Sony all they like but if they didnt leave as is this would not have changed.

    Both consoles it is.

Me, too, but hopefully MS will price their Xbone digital games at better prices so buying the digital version just makes sense.

Yes, well done internet. You changed something (sort of) for the better (for a bit).

Pats on the back all round.

Will they have to make changes to the UI? Is it as simple as flipping a switch I wonder...

the connection was required every 24 hours; it was never mandatory in the first place

    DRM is dead forever.

Well done guys, we did it! It's times like these that make all those Internet hours worth it. This was like our Berlin Wall but we didn't give up on our Black Hawk Down.

@Feanor Well Sony managed it with the Vita. Think it sells more digital games that physical or they are very close

So they took out the genuinely good stuff too?

There was a bit of 'we're taking our ball and going home' about that post.

Actual Cloud processing was always BS, but it will still take advantage of being connected to the internet in all sorts of ways.

The cloud stuff was just bullshit in the first place, hopefully they'll shut the fuck up about it now.

    This space left intentionally blank.

@Progguitarist Bitter? I'm getting both consoles.

Family sharing and no disc swapping sounded great.

Well, the cloud is setup and ready to go (and already going) - I guess a developer can farm off things they deem not totally necessary to the gameplay to the cloud, and if they get a response they can display the results. In multiplayer games you'll be online anyway, so they'll probably assume the cloud is available. Disclaimer: don't know what I'm talking about.
