For the last week and a half I've been on a tour through illness like never before. Starting with a huge temperature and head cold symptoms, morphing into a wracking cough and just yesterday I started shitting my brains out, last night I was pooing brown water and puked everything I'd not digested.

    So. Yay me!

    Did you choose...poorly?

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

@PazJohnMitch it made them want to fuck me. I was very weak from illness but I resisted them.

I read the title as the 'stickiest'. I am now disappointed.

My books, contests, reviews and author interviews on my blog

Yes. Probably best to err on the side of caution. Nip off to the study with your service revolver and do the decent thing, there's a good chap.

Got e-coli once. It hurt, but not as much as I'd have thought.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

@El_MUERkO Did you shit yourself? That's the lowest you can go with that kind of sickness. The desperate aftermath of the unguarded fart. Extra points if you do it in your own bed :(

I got two kinds of dysentery simultaneously in Nepal in '03, amoebic and bacterial. Fortunately my bf had temporarily crippled himself in a white water rafting incident, so I had company while I sat on the toilet of our Kathmandu hotel for 3 days solid. Also lots of very nice hashish, and satellite tv.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

That's just to replace the brains you shat out. Nothing to worry about.

A week of losing fluid ain't good though. Doc's for you if it hasn't stopped.

Once an eagle taught me courage. And I will never forget that day

I shat the bed once, in adulthood. Had some sort of heinous stomach bug and was completely exhausted, and only realised I'd done it when it was already underway. Had to throw my sheets away. Shaming.
So you have my sympathy Muerko, and my retroactive sympathy local.

Seriously though, if you've been that ill for ten days, phone the doctor, don't go in even if you can get out of bed, you'll spread it.

It wasn't too bad actually. We'd been on the road in India & Sri Lanka for a couple of months by that point so it was quite nice to be forced to rest up. Did mean we missed our planned trek in the Himalayas, but I did finally get round to watching Friends, which turned out to be quite funny. That might've been because I was really high though.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

You don't even have to go abroad.
The IT guy at my ex wife's school got something similar. The school is a big city primary, 70% ethnic, a right old mix of kids, the type that get taken out for months at a time to visit uncles.
He got diagnosed with something tropical and had not even left these shores.
