Oh that irritating twit was on the Giantbomb E3 stream recently. Hate hate HATE that guy. Even the usually decent Gerstmann was acting a spaz around him.

Anyone who adds a "y" to their name and uses their last initial, like the fucking Spice Girls never happened, is an irredeemable twunt anyway.

Although he is right, unless you live in a big city, the US doesn't exactly have a great network either.

Average internet speed in the US is 7.6Mb/s, in the UK it's 6.4 and the UK is the 12th fastest in Europe.

I really couldn't give a shit about the opinion of a Moby lookalike.

Yeah, doesn't Europe, on average, have better internet connection than the US? At least several European countries do anyway, like Belgium and Switzerland.

lol so it's Europeans' own fault that a third of them won't be able to play XBone. Their fault that Microsoft gives them the finger.

I was just going to post something similar. Isn't the general broadband infrastructure better in western /central Europe than the states?

Also, is it a coincidence that someone's ranting at Europe in the wake of the XBone launch? I got the impression before that the whole XBone design is about the USA's market, similar to how many Japanese people in the games segment are often accused of only caring about Japan.

Not saying the European way is right or the American way is wrong, it's just my impression that Microsoft seems to watch the rest of the world as an also-ran.

Yeah! Last start talking about Microsoft in yet another thread! Yeah!

After all the horror stories I hear about American broadband, I'm pretty glad I live in Europe to be honest.

@El_MUERkO Well, it's easy to have a high(er) average when one third of the inhabitants aren't even connected.

Yep, because having super whizz-bang internet is the overriding concern for lots of European countries at the minute.

He's also comparing a country to a continent, which isn't exactly fair.

How are the broadband connections in other North American countries like Greenland, Panama and El Salvador?

Actually doesn't most of America have really shitty broadband compared to central Europe/UK?

More people are on higher speed broadband per populous than the US IIRC.

50Mb line here in Germany with no complaints. And everyone I know has at least 16Mb. And when I still lived in London I was also chugging along on the 16Mb line.

Due to population density, Europe should actually be easier for high speed broadband than the rural US.
