    We're a little indie dev studio just started and this is our first game called Pixel Rush.
    It's a retro style running game in pixel art with a funny chiptune soundtrack.

    Thoughts after a few goes!

    Good:

    Simple
    Fun to play
    Visuals aren't perfect but they mostly have character (the plain platforms less so)
    Music is fun
    Call of Doody achievement... Haha

    Bad:

    Can imagine it may get a little repetitive
    Scrolling when jumping up to higher platforms is a bit jolting
    Wary that the sheer number of things to buy may mean those who buy coins will be at an advantage to those who don't

    Further thoughts:

    It makes judging jump a little tough as the speed of running and speed as you jump are slightly different.

    Also, it's not clear you have to let the multiplier run out to collect coins with doubles etc

    Do the hats/houses/runners make any difference?

    For the jumps mechanics, we actually had to adjust the distance of jumps to be always the same. Otherwise when the speed changes, the distance of the jumps will increase/decrease resulting in more long/short jumps very difficult to control.

    Yes, to collect coins with doubles, etc. you have to avoid obstacles, holes and coins for 5 seconds. It's written in the tutorial (the question mark button in the main screen).

    Hats, houses and runners make no difference in gameplay.
