    What is it?

It's a hunting type game, and, unsurprisingly, the follow up to God Eater. An apparently incurable pandemic has struck and the Special Forces engage in missions that involve investigating this disease.

Some of the characters from the original will make an appearance (but won't include who here as this will spoil who makes it through the first game).

    Platform?

It's for the Vita and PSP.

    Gameplay/features?

-Kill monsters (Aragami), gather materials, make better weapons, kill more monsters.
    -1-4 players.

    Links?

    Official Japanese website

    When's it out?

14th November 2013 in Japan. No news of a Western release yet, but we did get God Eater Burst, so fingers crossed!

    Trailer?

    Gameplay video

    Where can I buy it?

    -CDJapan [5695Y]
    -AmiAmi [5080Y]

@HiddenAway I had originally gone with Vita, but then I remembered it is for the PSP as well just in time. :) I haven't made a duplicate thread have I? I couldn't find one anywhere for it.

As someone who's just bought a Vita, is Gods Eater Burst worth checking out? It's only 6.50 I think on PSN. Or maybe one of the MH instalments would be better, assuming they're available to download.

@santashi Nah. I hadn't really considered it since I always had it's chances of localisation down as "remote" (at least until the Vita version was announced)

@Triggerhappytel I enjoyed it. :p It has more of a story than other monster hunting games that I've played, which I liked, and the combat is pretty satisfying. You can craft bullets as well as the usual harvesting-for-equipment-crafting, which is a nice addition.

Added a few places to preorder, which I had completely forgotten to do. Thanks for the reminder! :)

So God Eater 2: Rage Burst is being released at the end of the month of PSV and PS4

Is anyone getting this and what console are they buying it for? I have read it includes God Eater Resurrection as well (which is good as i missed it 1st/2nd/3rd time round.

I am tempted as I think it's also a cross buy game, I am sure I read that on the store

I'm super tempted by the new one. I love the idea of hunting games, but hated (haaaated) MH Freedom Unite on the PSP with it's laughably awful controls. I kind of enjoyed Soul Sacrifice but wasn't keen on it's visual design and heavy text elements, and have been playing Freedom Wars but it hasn't totally grabbed me just yet.

However the core hunting game theme of fighting boss after boss, with an in-depth and addictive progression and loot system still really appeals to me, and I'd love to try one that isn't limited to a handheld and which I can play with a proper controller.

So... any advice? Should I give it a shot, or has my previous experiences with the genre been a fair representation of what to expect? This or Toukiden Kiwami?

@SomaticSense I really like monster hunter but have struggled with these 'clones' myself although I am drawn to this one especially if it is cross buy

Just checked the store it's actually the extra game God eater resurrection that's cross buy😔
