Has anyone seen anything like this before? We keep getting this black bar across the screen when watching certain things on netflix and its getting right on my tits. Its proving hard to find any help on google as the results just contain retards complaining about aspect ratios.

Well, the app has issues on a number of TVs if its not actually exited properly as it doesn't clear its cache properly - on mine it'll just black screen. It's the only app that doesn't require an exit when you click away.

I'm sure there was a thread for it and everyone hated it. The search doesn't find it though so I may have been having a really shit dream.

Barbecue - a documentary about barbecue.

Srsly, tho, this is an excellent study on what it means to grill meat over fire in a dozen countries, worldwide. From redneck Aussies cooking a fry up to Mongolians shoving hot rocks up the arse of an inflated animal pelt, it shows everyone loves a BBQ. It looks amazing and the score is great.

I know it sounds stupid, but I challenge anyone to watch it and not want to open up a yakitori joint.

    RECOMMENDED

Really, good things about The Mist? All I've heard is bad things - people are comparing it to Under the Dome. I'm not expecting it to be good at all (I loved the short story and the film version).

Did they just send Death Note out to die? It came out on Friday but I have seen literally no promotion for it. It's not highlight on the front page of netflix or anything. Anyone watched it yet?

    @Decks

There definitely was a thread I remember looking in at it as I liked the film. So you're not going crazy.

The general consensus in it wasn't positive.

I watched that Wet Hot American Summer 10 Years Later thingy and I laughed a lot. It may help if you've seen the original film and prequel series as it's quite self-referential, but still very funny.

currently on episode 6 and certainly seen a lot worse than the mist, including a fair few king adaptations...became easier once we accepted its b-movie approach - it almost feels like 'the happening' at times...

some shoddy editing and direction and a fair few inconsistencies but we've made it this far so it can;t be all bad...i hope...:D

Watched half an hour last night and fell asleep, it was really poor. It goes at 100mph and plays like a guy has 30 seconds to sum up the story of the anime, just hitting as many story points as it can. Also, they made Light into a wuss. He's disastrous.

Watched first episode of The Mist and thought it was shite. Looks like it was written by a bunch of teenagers.

and barely rises above that...average is certainly the word though, considering the dreadful pilot ep, it;s quite an improvement...

Finished it. It's dreadful. Takes the bare minimum of the manga/anime and strips out all the complexity. Even if you haven't seen the original, it's just poorly made. Hugely disappointed.

I don't get why there's even a series of The Mist. The film was all very self contained, it certainly didn't need expanding on.

Plus the trailer looked like utter shit.
