It would be nice to see an article on 3DO's deployment of 2.1 patch to coincide with the new release. There was also a 60% discount on the old M&M Heroes VI on steam.|
A LOT of players including myself can't play the main campaign custom games or multiplayer because of UBI's DRM.
Check steam's forums and ubisoft's forums.

I was playing it last night. Worked fine for me.
Looks like they are fixing it manually, but most of the players still can't play.

Might play now.
DRM affecting paying customers again... Have to love Ubisoft for alienating the few fans they still have.
Have you tried doing a fresh install? I installed from scratch yesterday and have had no problems at all on my laptop or my PC.
oh i see just read that thread. differnet problem then
I hoped Eurogamer would pick up the tip but it looks like Kotaku and RPS were faster.
I bumped this as it seems closest (!) to a 'general' HoMM VI thread.
Never played a M&M game except the superlative Clash of Heroes on 360.
It's freakin' hard, but really enjoyable. I understand a LOT of people have had errors with UPlay (shitty thing), etc, but I've had 0 problems other than one on installation that corrupted a tutorial map, requiring a fresh install.
I don't think I'd dare play MP, but does anyone else play the SP etc? I finished the tutorial (twice restarting the second mission, erk) and am now doing the Water campaign. It's a lovely looking game (art > graphics), if a bit genero-fantasy.
I am sure it's 'terrible and broken' for MM vets, like most francises, but yeah, enjoying.

I really enjoyed my first few hours with this, but have up in the end due to how ridiculously difficult it gets. Good luck!
I want to wait, to build up my troops... but then the enemy becomes crazy powerful. I am sure I'm missing a lot of tricks and nuances.
