Right, Amazon are sending me a 10m v1.4a HDMI so I can hook my PC up to my 3D TV. Quick simple question: will it send sound out too? I'll be hooking up via the HDMI on my Radeon 5570.

Once you connect your card up via HDMI and turn your TV to that input, the lurking ATI HDMI Audio part of your card should enable itself and be your primary sound device.

    This space left intentionally blank.

I've got my 3D TV connected to a 10m HDMI cable from a Radeon 7950 in the adjoining room. The HDMI cable goes into my arcam amp and gives out 5.1 sound.

I wouldn't say it works flawlessly as I also have the 7950 connected to a monitor via a DVI. If you have both on at the same time it can mess around with the monitors resolution and speakers. So I regularly have to either reboot or play around with the desktop management.

But having 1080p/60fps gaming on a 55 incher means I can deal with it.
