Yeah, now that we're on the verge of a new console generation, its becoming clear that (Microsoft aside, we don't know yet how they are handling it) Sony and Nintendo could be doing much better in the generational shift.|
I don't mind re-releasing the games for Wii U compatibility, but if Nintendo wants to really capture the retro enthusiast gamer, a demographic that grows more and more every year; they need to be more, well, enthusiastic. I'd like to see more new games release, that have not yet been seen on the Wii or 3DS virtual consoles.
Granted, it must be hard to convince 3rd parties to go through the trouble releasing on the virtual console, which makes it hard to get to new releases. Which is probably a sign that something about the process needs to change.
