Bound In Flames
Not exclusive, but not on the ONE, anyone getting. I think it looks good, read a few previews that seem positive. It is only £30 on Amazon at the mo, and it is out next week so could be worth a punt
im keen to see how it pans out, im waiting for reviews and people opinions thought before I spend the little spare money I have first.
id stick magna carta 2 in there.

magna carta 2 is great although I got distracted by other games and this thread has just reminded me to finish it. Also I have Nier to finish
Its messed up Mistwalker didn't make any more RPG for consoles as LO was my favorite JRPG. Didn't like the characters in Blue dragon (also QTE action scenes in a RPG, fuck off.
Also fable 3 was shit
So anyone have any clues about Stranger of Sword City or Stranger of the Village of Swords: White Palace that's just come out on the 360 in Japan? Looks like an HD version of Etrian Odyssey on steroids.
Stranger of Sword City - Gameplay Trailer (Xbox36…: http://youtu.be/0VPSTCGZUrk
There will also be a PC version (white palace) and a vita version with the tag line Black Palace.

I like the look of that, but looks like one of those games that would sell terribly in the west and as such probably wont be released here.
Nearly bought this myself but for the pain in the arse that importing games on demand is - particularly as it's region locked and my Japanese 360 is a bit wheezy. If it's coming to the west, it'll be the Vita version. If you want to play something by the same people, Demon Gaze is out right now, though I think Stranger will be much more difficult.
The PC release is in august, but would love the 360 version. Big fan of the Etrian Odyssey games.
Might pick up the PC box when I'm in Japan later this year. Hopefully Elminage does well in summer - it's a great target for putting on Steam.
Apparently the 360 game is region locked (weird decision) - although I know no Japanese so would miss out on majority of info.
I think that unlike western games, Japanese ones are region locked by default on 360. I'm sure I read that somewhere.

It depends. Play Asia will let you know if the Asian version is region free. My Lost Odyssey was Korean and that works fine. Much better box that the UK because it holds all 4 discs and doesn't have a duff loose 4th disc.
This has been confirmed as region locked on neogaf (unfortunately), the guy has posted up quite a lot of YouTube videos. It looks just the kind of game I would really enjoy. But I'd miss out on all the detail as only the menus can be turned to English.

Looks very Demon Gaze, wonder if I would prefer it on Vita or 360 (my only 360 is a Japanese one (Deathsmiles was my system seller back in the day when I expected zero chance of a western release (and 360+game was cheaper than PCB). Need to finish Demon Gaze first though as was finishing off P4G first (still got YS to finish too on Vita)
Still got my Etrian Odysseys to get through too.
On topic, Magna Carta 2 is one of the few JRPGs on 360 I actually finished (almost finished Star Ocean 4 too despite the voice acting (stopped on final dungeon IIRC))
It'll almost certainly run on the same engine. Same director as well (Motoya Ataka - who is also directing Operation Abyss, out on Vita in Japan next month). It's interesting seeing how they are building up their game system with things like autopilot and the message system - features that once you've seen once you want in every game of that genre. The only thing I really missed on Demon Gaze was the ability to see the location of your own messages on the map.
eternal sonata, magna carta 2.
blue dragon is defo worth playing gets good later on and is a huge game.

Heard blue dragon is microsofts pokemon.
Not an exclusive but it does not have a thread and I didn't see the point of starting one so...
I was undecided on what to play between DA:I and Witcher 3*, so I settled on Risen 3! on the 360.
Only 3 hours into it but I have to say I'm having a lot of fun. I have played the previous 2 and do seem to like shoddy action wrpg's. The swearing is over the top like Risen 2, but the world and the small amount of quests I have done have been fun, the humour remains as well.
Anyway if you only want to spend a few quid (I paid £12) and have some old school fun, go for it.
*advantage being when I play these games they will look stunning and been patched/dlc'd.
In this order:
Tales of Vesperia
The Last Remnant
Record of Agarest War Zero
Spectral Force 3
All of those are very good exclusives starting from the top....And despite what haters would tell you, Fable 3 is one hell of an RPG and The Witcher 2 is top notch. So I also recommend Fable 3 and Mass Effect along with Final Fantasy.
Record of Agarest War Zero isn't an exclusive.
The Last Remnant is on PC and reportedly far superior on that platform also.

Zero, the special edition of Record of Agarest War is indeed exclusive.
They added some extra character, a set of playing cards and so forth. I don't count the standard copy of Agarest war which is on all platforms.
Um… Pay no attention to the optical illusion of a PS3 Edition
How desperate do you have to be to pad a list? Yes, the 360 is absolute shite for JRPGs, that's never going to change. Record of Agarest War 2 is exclusive, Zero, is not exclusive.
Following your argument, does that mean that Red Dead Redemption is PS3 exclusive because of a few piffling extras?
Yes of course.
Having exclusive extras made Tomb Raider exclusive too, so that's just a given rule nowadays.
Those small pieces of content are exclusive, not the entire game.
The PS3 version of Record of Agarest War Zero that I linked comes with cards and 'free' DLC I have no idea if that's the same content but I don't think anybody in their right mind would agree with you that minor differences or DLC make a game exclusive.
If your argument is followed to it's logical conclusion you'd have to accept that all versions of a game are exclusive since they have minor differences and aren't interchangeable in any way. You might as well add the 'exclusive' 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII to your list, besides some very minor DLC the 360 version plays in an exclusive last generation mode where it can evoke memories of the PS2 golden age of JRPGs by running at a sub-HD resolution.
Those levels can't be done on ps3. Because the content is exclusive, the whole game is by my definition.
There are no differences between the FF13's besides graphics, so no.
It's a pretty big difference!
Applying your criterion for 'exclusivity'.
Eternal Sonata? Now a PS3 exclusive.
Star Ocean IV? Now a PS3 exclusive.
Tales of Vesperia? Now a PS3 exclusive.

This is hilarious. I was tempted to rip the shit out of his list yesterday simply for being a shit list, but his idea of exclusives is just bizarre.
